Zacharias has disabled reputation
I'm discerning whether or not I should become a Priest. After College I will, if it be the Lord's will, attend Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. And then perhaps, if it be the Lord's will, eventually become a ICCEC Priest.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you all.

No pianos! Stay with organs, if it were up to me.

How have I felt my call? Well, first off, if I go too long without doing something(acolyting, chaliceing, something) I go crazy. Second, I hate being in front of crowds, and the only times that I've been comfortable are when I do something in church, and the time when I did a report on Monastic life.

I'm very interested in Liturgy and church History, as well as theology. Also, I know that I want to do something to help people, so this is a good choice...

Real pipe organs? Sure. Those are seriously neat. Grotty cheap little yamaha organs that sound terrible? Give me a piano any day--or my ideal would be a decent digital keyboard so that those who wish for organ sounds can get them, and those (like me) who would prefer piano get that too.

Timothy (I think this is getting off topic though...)

Yeah, let's get it back on track. Is there anyone who would begin their seminary or other training in a few years?

Can you give us a link or contact info for St. Michael's?

I've been considering studying through Holy Cross Theological Seminary or some other Old Catholic school if I can do it at a distance.

St. Michael's doesn't have a website. Honestly, I don't know if you can take classes through St. Michael's unless you are actually preparing for Orders through OCCNA. I'll check with the registrar and let you know.

I looked over the Holy Cross site. They seem extremely conservative in certain areas. I'm not sure how their seminary would be. I'll do some checking around and see what looks like the best alternative.

What are your goals? I mean are you wanting to take classes just to improve yourself, or are you considering possibly pursuing Orders at some point? It'll help me know what to look for for you.

I am considering pursuing orders, but I have some commitments that would make a residential seminary highly impractical in the foreseeable future. I'm completing a Th.M. through distance education now with a Baptist seminary. When I finish it, I'd like to start studying from within the One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

Well, as has been mentioned before, I am pursuing Holy Orders, but I am in my freshman year of college at Oral Roberts University right now... you'd be surprised at just how non-charismatic and liberal the students and professors here actually are. :-) I hope to attend either Sewanee or Virginia Theological Seminary once I graduate, but I suppose it will depend on funding.

Christ's peace!
