We've all done that before. Thank goodness that God is forgiving.

I agree Shelby that as an adult, you have to check to be sure that nothing was left behind when you go inside after shopping. Groceries, handbag etc...

I guess I just don't believe anyone should be punished for leaving a schoolbag in a car. As a kid a friend of mine used to leave their bag in the car so that they'd always know where it was.
When they needed to do homework-out they'd go and get the bag. The parents used to encourage this a lot at my Catholic school to save kids forgetting anything the next morning.

It was a sure-fire way of not forgetting your hat as your hat was always kept in your bag and the bag never left the car at home-just your books and lunchbox.

That is why I found it rather awful that this kid was somehow in trouble for leaving a bag in the family car I mean, he was hardly to know that the Father would bring home a company car and you can't foresee things like that.

When you leave your car at work I would have thought you'd do a quick sweep of the back to be sure nothing valuable was left behind like you do when you go shopping and come home.

In this day and age I believe it is important kids are responsible-but in this case I cannot see how anyone really was at fault especially the young man who originally posted.
I believe it is unfair to chastise someone for life happening-Unless he carries his bag with him everywhere after school a number of things could happen. Some kids leave their bag on the bus-a simple thing that could happen to anyone people are always leaving things on buses.
If a kid did that though a lot of people would chastise them even though the experience would probably be punishment enough and ensure they wouldn't do it again.

Call me soft-I just can't see how this is anyones' fault.

Things happy, we must keep our strong faith even in these difficult times, everyone has things like this happen to them. It may be God's way of testing your reactions or Satan's way of trying to tear you from Christ. Don't let GOd down, and don't give in to Satan.
