My First posts...
I believe that you can get saved(filled with the Holy Ghost), backslide and lose your salvation...then repent(not do it again) then you are back on track.

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | i didn't vote and i am unsure on the idea. this seems to me to be a how much sin can i have and still go to heaven. this is going to sound cliche but instead of asking how far can we get from God how bout be ask how close can we get to him

Jesus said, "Unless you REPENT you WILL PERISH" (Lk13:3); He also said, "No good tree produces bad fruit" --- mirrors 1Jn3 where it says "by this (their good-or-evil-deeds) the children of the devil and the children of God are revealed; he who practices righteousness IS righteous, he who practices unrighteousness is of the devil."
So sins do not send you to Hell, nor does "NOT-DOING-SINS" send you to Heaven; it is CHRIST-IN-YOU that dermines your destiny. And a Christ-filled, Spirit-filled person will not be practicing sinning. But one who CONTINUALLY SINS, is not "OF GOD" (regardless of where they were LAST year...) |

I know that I am. God called out my name in heaven and finally my eyes are open. There is no going back for me.

I believe a person can walk away from God's grace intentionally. I don't believe that you can sin and lose your salvation - there is just no Scriptural backing for such a position...
