Pray for me please. I don't know how I'm going to make it...

A little over a month ago my husband left me. My daughter is sick and disabled so I am not able to work full time, or during the day. I applied for welfare and food stamps, and, after looking for weeks, finally found a part-time fast food job to help make ends meet. I had worked there a week when Tuesday night, I fell while walking down my steps. I just found out yesterday I will need surgery. I have no idea how long I will be out of work, or how I will pay my bills. I can feel myself sinking into despair and depression. Please pray for me.

I will be praying for God to supply your financial, healthcare, emotional, and spiritual needs as you go through this really rough time. I am praying that Jesus will just comfort your heart and let you know that no matter what happens or who deserts you, that He never will leave you or forsake you. Jesus will help you through whatever your situation is. No matter how scared you are right now or how many times you cry out "God, why does this have to happen to me?" Jesus loves you no matter what. He understands that sometimes you feel overwhelmed and sad about the things that have happened and scared about what is going to happen to you and your daughter. But the Bible guarantees you that nothing can separate you from God's love -- not even tough times or despair. Jesus's loving arms are going to be wrapped around you all through this process. God is going to meet all your needs (financial, spiritual, emotional, physical) and your daughter's needs if you continue to put Him first in your life. God is going to work out everything that happens to you (even if it is bad) for good if you love Him (Romans 8:28), and God is going to help you to be more than a conqueror in this situation through the power of His Holy Spirit.

I know that this is contrary to everything that humans want to do when they are facing trials in their lives, but the Bible encourages us to pray continually and to keep giving God praise even when we are facing difficult circumstances. 1 Peter 1:3-9 says that trials refine our faith in God, and that while we go through those fiery trials that are refining our faith we (through our faith in God) will be shielded by God’s power. God's loving arms are going to be wrapped around you throughout your trials. Let us here at CF also wrap our arms of loving kindness and support around you as you go through this trial.

If you need anything or just want to talk privately with someone about your problems and feelings, please feel free to PM me anytime. Here are also some suggestions that I have that might help you and your daughter's financial situation. If you are not currently getting child support from your child's father, you may want to contact a lawyer or legal clinic near you so that they can assist you in getting whatever financial support that he is legally obligated to provide to your child. Although I am not able to give you legal advice, I might can help you get in touch with a lawyer or clinic that can help you. Also, if you think that your injury may keep you from working, you may want to contact an office that handles Social Security Disability near you or a lawyer who handles those types of cases to see if you are eligible to apply for financial and/or medical benefits through that program. Once again, I cannot give you any legal advice on your situation, but I may can help you find a lawyer, clinic, or government office that can help you if you need me to.

May the peace of Christ that passes all understanding envelop your heart right now as you realize that Jesus Christ, the most powerful person in the universe, is working on your behalf right now praying for you before God's throne. Just do your best and what you know is right on this earth, and Jesus will ultimately take care of the rest for you.
