Reps: 1,171 (power: 10) | | What Protestant Missionaries are Saying about Catholics in Mexico!!! VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!! Hey all!! Well long time since i have been on here. Well I am still HAVING to go to a Baptist church by mothers commands. So in doing so with that i HAD to go to Mexico with my youthgroup on a missions trip. Well going to Mexico has really opened my eyes to a HUGE difference between Protestants and Catholics. Protestants care more about getting to Heaven and getting others to Heaven than anything else(now thats not a bad thing, but its what they live for) While, Catholics beleive not only getting to Heaven but living as Jesus did. Jesus did not go around to EVERYONE and condemn them to Hell if they dont get "saved" but he went around and did things in the name of the Father. It is almost as if Protestants use God just to get to Heaven(this is my personal opinion ) Well when we got to Mexico we met up with a Protestant Missionary, that stayed with us the rest of the week. The WHOLE week all he talked about is Catholics. He said that 90% of Mexico is Catholic(yes, thats true). But that 90% of Mexico is going to Hell!!! I dont know where he got that. Later on in the week we went to the city of Saltillo and went to visit this beautiful Cathedral. Before we went in, our missionary said he was gonna tell us the history of the church before going in. He had said that a long time ago bones were beginning to appear from underneath the church and people started to ask questions...So he had said that the Vatican tried to "cover-up what had really happend" by saying that the church was burried on top of an indian burial ground. Well some researchers didnt quite believe that so they did some study and found that ALL the bones were baby bones, and concluded that before the Cathedral was a church it was a monestary and that the nuns would get pregnant go to the basement have their babies then bury their babies ALIVE! Doing that so they wouldnt get kicked out of the monestary, heh i think you guys can tell thats a lie. I dont think i need to explain that one. So after hearing that, we went inside. The cool thing was that when we went in, the church was having daily mass! That was an awesome thing to witness . Well we were only able to go into one room of the Cathedral,(as soon as i get my pics developed i will post them) and there were two people praying in front of this painting. The missionary went over behind them and pointed at them saying, "You see these people, Well because they are praying to this painting, They are going to Hell" Then he started going off on what he "thinks" he knows what the Catholics beleive. He went on to say that Catholics do not beleive that Jesus is Christ, but just a saint, and that Mary is God to "them{Catholics}" He also said that Catholics worship "idols".He also explained the Crucifix as "Catholics Beleive in the Dead Christ, while we {the Protestants} believe in the rissen Christ", he also said that the Catholic religion is dead just as the Christ is on the cruicifcx, and that Satan started the Catholic church.....hm....I didnt know Jesus and his chosen apostle, Peter, were Satan, did you? He also said that Catholisism has no basis or biblical beliefs!!WHERE DID HE GET THAT.....MAN, IS HE WRONG! Later on the girls were talking, and they were asked what they thought about the Catholics and the Cathedral, they all said Depressing and sad. After that we went to a graveyard and most of the tombstones had Mary or a Crucifix on the head of the tombstone. One girl asked how many people went to Hell. The missionary said that "90 out of every 100 bodies went to Hell because they were Catholic" This missionary has brainwashed that whole group of kids that was with me!! It is not just this one missionary it is EVERY protestant missionary in Mexico(a country that is 90% Catholic) is going around and spreading this, and telling everyone if they are Catholic they are going to Hell!! I dont know about you, but for someone to go into GOD's house and tell HIS people they are going to Hell and sit there and tell them what they are doing is wrong, well somethings wrong with that, and it has to stop. You dont see Catholics going into the Protestants house(church) laugh at their beliefs right in front of them, condemn them and then sit there and bash their beliefs and traditons. I mean we went into their house/church which is GODS and sat there and pointed out, with Catholics in the room, what was "stupid/pointless" and compare to what we thought was our truth. Through this trip i now know what i need to do. Most of you know the struggle between my mom and I and the Catholic church, if you dont know send me a PM and i will be mmore than happy to tell you. Well I am no longer at that fork in the road anymore, i know whats the truth and whats not. I am now on the path...and its the path of truth. Its a long path but I am on it now and i dont think i am changing. Thanks for reading Pink Angel Just one more story as proof of this brainwashing. We had this bonfire thing on the last night where we had to tell what God said to us on the trip. Well one girl, spoke almost in tears saying that she didnt know the "truth" abotu Catholics, cuz just last year he friend died in a car accident and she was Catholic. THe girl said at the time she had a "hope" she would see her again in Heaven, but after this trip, her eyes had been opened and she now knows that she WONT see her friend in Heaven cuz her friend is in HEll! that is how Brainwashed this Missionry has planted this belief into the groups heads. |

What you speak of is surely a tragedy. Hopefully the majority of Catholics will be so grounded in their Faith that they won't let some stranger preaching hellfire, impinge upon any part of their existance.
It's sad about that girl in the P.S. the one who thinks her friend won't get to heaven....the irony is, her friend could be there right now, praying for her...

Reps: 3,735 (power: 14) | | Out of this horrible trip came something good. You stayed true to the faith. Actually you stayed true to Logic and therefore to the Catholic faith (I've always loved that logic never refutes Catholicism, it only proves it )
I'm so glad for you. And now you have a story that you can share with people. You are doing your part in refuting those lies that were told.
I'm sorry that you've had problems with your mother. I pray for you and her and all those people that tried to convert Christians into Christianswithalimitedunderstandingofthetruth.
May God Bless You and Keep You.
Here's a Hymn for you
Blest are the pure in heart,
For they shall see our God;
The secret of the Lord is theirs,
Their soul is Christ's abode.
The Lord, who left the heavens
Our life and peace to bring.
To dwell in lowness with men,
Their pattern and their King.

On another note: Don't the Baptist parishes have anything better to do?

Reps: 3,377 (power: 17) | | Hi, Pink Angel.
It is so very nice to hear from you after such a long time.
I realize that you were being a "good student" on your trip by not arguing with the missionary.
However, now that you are home, you can bring up a few points with your friends, if/when the situation may arise. For your friends, if this topic ever comes up, you can mention that you would like to see some evidence for such a claim.
Where was the government during such atrocities?
Where are police reports/forensic documents of these findings?? The missionary went over behind them and pointed at them saying, "You see these people, Well because they are praying to this painting, They are going to Hell" Then he started going off on what he "thinks" he knows what the Catholics beleive. He went on to say that Catholics do not beleive that Jesus is Christ, but just a saint, and that Mary is God to "them{Catholics}"
It would have been interesting if one of you spoke Spanish and hadd asked one of these Catholics basic questions: "Is Jesus a saint?" , "Why are you praying to that painting?", Tell me why Mary is your god."
etc etc to the false claims of the missionary. I dont know about you, but for someone to go into GOD's house and tell HIS people they are going to Hell and sit there and tell them what they are doing is wrong, well somethings wrong with that, and it has to stop.
What is equally bad, and more slimy, is that this man went into that church and did NOT say those things to the Catholics inside. (because if he had, they would have corrected his lies.)
Instead, this man is deceiving the youth.
And I KNOW that God really has a gentle love for young people, and for this MAN to do what he is doing.. well... I imagine God is not very happy. You dont see Catholics going into the Protestants house(church) laugh at their beliefs right in front of them, condemn them and then sit there and bash their beliefs and traditons.
I would welcome such an event. because then I would not let them leave until I gave them a good earful... of TRUTH. Missionarys are going around and spreading this all over MExico, going into their house and telling them lies. Something has to be done!!!
We must pray for those who persecute us.
We must forgive them of thir transgressions.
And when possible, we must stand up for the truth and correct these malicious lies. [Through this trip i now know what i need to do.
God blesses you with His grace, Pink Angel.
Now that your eyes are open to these malicious lies, you will become stubborn in the Lord. You will not want to be where lies exist. You will become so very sick in your very being, in your soul, when you are exposed to these absurdities, that the time will come when you will speak out.. and may lose some dear friends.
But, despite this, you will not despair. For you go where God leads, and NO MAN NOR WOMAN will be able to separate you from the Lord. Just one more story as proof of this brainwashing. We had this bonfire thing on the last night where we had to tell what God said to us on the trip. I am so sorry that this girl has been so decieved by Satan, disguised as a missionary.

Have you seen "The Passion of The Christ"?
have your friends?
Are you all talking about it any?
If so, you might make a simple remark, and Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel are Catholics and they love their Lord Jesus Christ.
----- Above all else, Pink Angel, may the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Know that the journey which you ARE on, may be a long one.
It may be difficult at times.
But, keep your eye upon the Lord. Be at peace with the Holy Spirit.

Reps: 3,735 (power: 14) | | | This reminds me of whenever my brother-in-law's bother (Baptist) tried to get me to go with them to Mexico to translate. I shoulda gone and so I could've been there to correct any misconceptions. I would have also have gone to point out that the Baptist faith does not have the Eucharist or all the Sacraments (that always stopped me cold whenever I thought of going to another faith when I was younger).
