The rules are simple – provide one or two scriptures to answer the following question:
How is a sinner justified before God?
No expounding or paraphrasing – has to be one or two scriptures only.
There is reasoning to my madness!
Thanks and may God bless!

Romans 3:24-25 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Ok, Dad, I had another verse or two in mind but I'll accept that as a Jeapordy Answer for it is right and it does deal with justification.
2. These are great verses but deal with propitiation - still great verses but not justification.
Care to go a bit further anybody - Dad was right - forgot about Dad's verse because I was focuuing on something else but he is absolutely right - just looknig at another angle but very similar - isn't this fun?

Thanks BBAS 64, great verse and it does tell us we are justfied and by whom - now we need to go one step further and I think we will have it. As you can tell I am heading somewhere. Good stuff BBAS 64 and Dad - thanks.
Care to go for another one?

Reason: Spelling
Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Rom 3:24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;Rom 3:25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. {This was} to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;Rom 3:26 for the demonstration, {I say,} of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Rom 3:29 Or is God {the God} of Jews only? Is He not {the God} of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,Rom 3:30 since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one.
Gal 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, {saying,} "ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU."Gal 3:9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

Another good verse BBAS 64 but I'm heading somewhere and when we get there you will see what I've been driving at - your verse is great by the way because it eliminates the law. Still missing an ingredient - it is right just looking for some details to go along with the justsified. Care to try again? I do hope so. You are doing great - great verses!!!!
May God bless!

Thanks FreeinChrist - nice verses but we haven't hit it yet what I'm driving at - remember - we are centering on justification and how that is made possible.
Care to try again?
