Philippians 2:14 - 16

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or laboured in vain.



- sometimes it is so hard for me to do what the "boss" says, especially when I think it is a total waste of time. Not only wasting my time, but other people's time aswell, because it is pointless. Also, I hate getting blamed so often for something that isn't my mistake - But then , after all that, the verse above was read during my quiet time and you know what? I was convicted... I should do all things without complaining and disputing.......... so I can be a light in this dark workplace.

"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life."

John 12:24-25 NIV

It's been darn hard for me to make the adjustments that an engaged woman has to make. I have to stop pursuing my own life and start thinking of myself as a partner in God's plan for the both of us. It's not just about me anymore.

I have to let the seeds I planted in my single life die, so that the blessings of married life can germinate, grow, bloom and bear fruit.

If I hang on to my single life, I can't possess the joys married life. If I love my singleness too much, I'll miss out on what God has in store for me as a wife!
