Fine, all research in the USA would have to move.
Or it could go to Canada.
On a social level, the US would become the punchbag of the world. All those 'englishman, scotsman and irishman' jokes would become targeted at Americans instead.

Reps: 3,154 (power: 13) | | | If creationism "took over" It would be a wonderful thing.
People could get back to learning about Christ and not bothering with Science. So many Christians these days have made it their "spiritual" journey to attack Science-- its wasted effort. Maybe if they just get rid of science all together, they can get back to the business of living for Christ without all the distractions. |

That's a joke, right?

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | How can you seriously say that to get rid of science would be in any way good? Would all the scientifical breakthroughs in the world have been made by people learning about God. I highly doubt it. |

Anyway, unfortunatly most americans aren't the brightest people in the world, which is why its nice that popular vote isn't was proves or disproves a theory. But unfortunatly it can screw our children.
The one plus is that it seems like most YECs are out of college or just teenagers, which means that those in college now, will have a chance as future law makers, to set things straight. Many teenager YECs are only YECs because that is what they have been told by the older people, and will hopefully get their moneys worth at college and drop the YEC.

Reps: 3,154 (power: 13) | | | It would be better than what is happening how-- the confusion of how to live like Christ. The anti-evolution people use this as their way of worship-- that's not Christian.
I agree, if Creationism became the "way of the world" we'd no longer have America as we understand it-- and yes, if that was true people would suffer. But to say that is "what I want" is a bit of rhetorical romp. I'm merely answering the question as if the "what if" question were true-- don't take this as if this is what I want. I'm perfectly at peace with reality as it is. If your Job is more important than Christ, I'm not here to stop you--- that's your choice. If You don't feel as if you're suffering right now, that's fine-- but perhaps you could use a bit more introspection and reflection. |
