Actually, there's no good reason to think the writers of the bible had anything relevent or prophetic to say regarding climate and extinction events, no more at least than any other ancient mythical text. I'll stick with with what the experts in the field of climatology, geology, paleobiology...

Mostly believers that post here, not a good place to find good advice on prophesy [sic]. In fact, many on science forums seek to overthrow the faith of unbelievers, and turn them into faithful, hopeless wrecks, that will swallow their lies of death.
