Ok, for the record Bono is Anglican

MOB--I most definetly agree about the whole Irish background. Where he grew up it was often even your own name that automatically would lable you as either "protestant" or "catholic". Add in the fact that he had a Protestant mother and a Catholic father....it equals a whole mess. He certainly...

Ok, for the record Bono is Anglican

He most definetly is a believer. When you see him in concert reciting a Psalm or beeseching the audience to "turn this song into a prayer", or calling on the fact that two thirds of the world living on less than a dollar a day something that God find unnacceptable in our lack of action, you...

    What is going on?!

Recently I have been unfairly ostracized by my friends and have to find a new place to live. I have been having all kinds of other difficulties in my life as well. What is going on here? Am I missing something that God is trying to tell me or what....I feel terrible about almost everything in...

    Please help

I have been unfairly ostracized from my "friends". My roomates couldn't understand that I was upset that they didn't acknowledge or do anything with my for my birthday recently....and they told me that if I wanted to move out they wouldn't mind. So I feel like I'm all alone here...no friends...

    Fears and phobias

I'm scared of people in those plush costumes like the kind sports mascots and Minnie Mouse wears, where the person's head is covered. I'm really freaked out by those because you just have no idea WHO'S in there! I'm turning 24 next week and this summer at the fair I was almost in tears...

    **The Offical U2 Fan Thread**

I'm giving this thread a badly needed bump....there is just way too much going on in the U2 world right now and the new album is just around the corner! Anyone else happen to preorder the U2 iPod besides myself? How about the Collector's Edition boxset with the album, DVD, and a 48 page...

    Christian Rock

Listen to some more U2! ;) No, seriously...so much of thier music has Christian themes-- "40" is basically Psalm 40, "I Still Haven't Found..." is a gospel song, "Walk On" talks about heaven...I could really go on forever. I consider them to be my worship music, without the cheesieness...

US intelligenzia threatened by Bush : Exodus

How very Christian-esque of you. (rolleyes) Trust me, if I could I would move tommorow. I'm tired of people saying my standard of 'Christianess' doesn't measure up because I might have different politicial ideals. Don't be fooled, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis said the best way to...

    I don't understand grace.

Grace is a difficult concept to wrap your head around, even if you are a believer! It almost sounds too good to be true. Grace, simply put, is love in action. Grace implies a sense of mercy and compassion, a restoration of broken relationships-especially one's spiritual ties with God. Black...

    This is really shallow but...

((((hug))))Rosemaree....I understand how you feel. Sometimes people can become so focused on thier outward projections of thier 'Christianess" to cover up the fact that they really aren't working on their inner relationship with the Lord. I am not speaking against those who raise hands or...
