I would probably argue that sin doesn't begin as a thought ... and it's not the mind that directs the overall choices you make. It may look like that moment to moment ... as in, you are choosing with your mind to make specific choices and thus your body just follows where your mind leads it...

On a related note, have you delved into a Hebrew Interlinear ? I'm not claiming to be an expert, but some of the terms used really do spark your thinking and can at times be eye opening to some of the ways we understand the texts lol :) Sometimes maybe it's a case of confirmation bias lol ?

You could get your information from God directly, instead of trusting other sources, second hand information, hearsay, etc.

I can relate to different parts of your post, so maybe this will shed some insight ... From my earliest memories, I didn't want to live, OR die, but I did just want God. I didn't want to be here, and I didn't want to die either ... but I wanted God. I've pretty much always been that way also...

Your post is a good example of what I think the majority believe, at least in my experience. Hence, why I used my own as an example of the minority lol :)
