Question for those who were friends first

Funny Story: At one point someone asked me if it was possible to just be friends with a girl. My answer was "Yes, just look at me and Danielle." Now I am madly and passionately in love with Danielle. We were friends for 6 months before we started dating. We would hang out with the same group...

    Virgin vs. Non-virgin

I agree with K9, the only thing that keeps me from being in the exact same boat as your boy is one decision (actually, one decision and a text message). Pray and look for God's leading on the matter, He'll show you what you need to see for the next step.

    More Sex

I have to disagree with both you and Shari on this one. It is possible to be a committed Christian and not follow all of God's commands and get things wrong from time to time. I know that I have had mistaken doctrines and probably still do, but I am seeking to get closer to God and studying his...

    Question

Hmmm.... That seems like the best way to open up communication in a relationship. Wouldn't it be easier to say that you don't want to talk about it? The guy might ask a couple of times if you are sure (because we have all been trained like that from the girls that we know), but he should respect...

    Question

When I ask if something is wrong and I get "nothing" I assume that nothing is wrong. If something is wrong then she just lied to me. If you don't want to talk about it, or your not sure that something is wrong then say that. Most guys I know understand that.

    More Sex

I agree that as long as she respects your views and doesn't pressure you then I don't see an issue. I have differing views on a lot of things than my girlfriend, but as long as we don't become stumbling blocks for one another then there are no real problems in that. As for the not having...

    Blessed Bread Question?

Actually, I think I remember seeing a sign on the door to the Parish Hall that said OCA on it. Thanks for all the posts! It has truly helped me to understand.

    Blessed Bread Question?

Unless I am much mistaken it is just Eastern Orthodox. It doesn't say Greek Or Russian (or anything of the sort) in the name and I have not seen anything to tie it to one group or another. Just to check my understanding: I am supposed to wait until near the end of Liturgy and go up when...

    Blessed Bread Question?

Okay, so lately I've been going to an Eastern Orthodox Church around once a month. It's a smaller congregation (25-30 on an average Sunday). I have a question regarding the Blessed Bread. I'm aware that I am not allowed to take Communion as I am not Orthodox, and I am also aware that the Blessed...

Are you more feminine or masculine?

It says I'm more feminine. But if sitting and talking to my friends is more effeminate than masculine I am happy to be so. Also with the car one, what does it matter the top speed and horse power, you can only go so fast over the speed limit before you get pulled over.

    top ramen or instant lunch?

Slightly off topic... what does FTW mean? Back on topic... I never though to add cheese, although I did do Tabasco one time and it was quite tasty.

    top ramen or instant lunch?

I normally eat the chicken one, it's not that I don't like the others, I just haven't had anything else because it's so good.

    Worst or Embarasing Childhood memories

I have two, the first was a rather bad memory similar to the first one shared. My dog had just had surgery to remove something on his back half (I was six or seven so I don't remember the exact reason for the surgery) and I went to go lay down with him, hit the soft spot and he bit my face, I...

    top ramen or instant lunch?

If you are doing Ramen then use the bag of just the noodles, the cups with the veggies aren't as good as the veggies never get fully re-hydrated. I also like to drain the watter from my Ramen so it's a noodle dish instead of a soup (and I do about half of the seasoning packet after I drain it).

Something that happened at the ATM

Maybe it's a habit, whenever I'm in a crowd, even at Church things, I will constantly check my wallet. Also as for appearances, you never know who could be a thief.

the look of a young adults room!

It depends on what the room is used for. If it's mainly a fellowship room, the big floor pillows, comfortable couches and bean bag chairs that could be moved into some sort of order if there is a lesson, add a ping pong table, foosball table and/or a pool table. For the windows, if there is any...

    Musicals

"The Sun is Shining it's a lovely day....." I love most of the music from Avenue Q, although Rent is pretty good too. Wicked is too overrated, it's alright, but the main reason I like it is because of Cheno and Menzell neither of whom are still with the show.

    Hillbilly bible

Cotton Patch Gospel, written by Clarence Jordan (Jerdan?). Same guy that started Habitat for Humanity. It puts the Gospel of Jesus in Southern Georgia (USA). They made a great musical after them. I loved the musical, but wasn't a big fan of his translations.
