    Indoctrination or Education?

My point exactly. The truth is in the message not the messenger, so let's not make it habit of shooting the messenger and instead be as smart as a cow and learn to eat the grass and spit out the sticks.

Tithes to an ordained minister or to an ordained homeless person with AIDS?

Are you suggesting that we fire all the preachers, then shut down all of the church run organizations like the orphanages, nursing homes, medical clinics, over sea ministries, counciling services, children bible camps, soup kitchens, employment services, shelters, disaster relief...

    Indoctrination or Education?

The point is that Gods word is the only truth. I don't know who Galileo is (I'm just a dumb truck driver), or what he has to do with the truth. Im certainly not against free speech. And I don't know what science has to do with the truth other than it occasionally has the ability to observe it.

    Indoctrination or Education?

There is a simple statement about the world in general that is a defense against false doctrine. "What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done there is nothing new under the sun" ECC 1:9 If there is nothing new under the sun,how is it possible for people...

    Difference between Baptist and Nonnnnn-Denominational

It was lower than I thought. I was going by older statistics. Startling Statistics About Christian Giving - Life Matters "Christians" in the U.S. spend more on DOG FOOD than they give to churches and Christian ministries. LEVITICUS 27:30 NKJ 30 ‘And all the tithe of the land,whether...

    Difference between Baptist and Nonnnnn-Denominational

I disagree. Especially when you consider that only 20% of all christains even tithe and that alone makes up the third largest non-profit organization in the U.S.A. This only third after government paid education and health care, and also funds overseas ministries. And 25% of that is the...

The only sound doctrine I know of is Gods word.

    Difference between Baptist and Nonnnnn-Denominational

If any church or church leader calling themselves christain is preaching anything not in the bible then they are just wrong. Whatever denomination is your personal preference, for whatever reason, may we find it in our hearts to love God’s Word enough to respect all denominations , because they...

    Difference between Baptist and Nonnnnn-Denominational

I partially disagree. I believe that Gods word is preached in every denomination, as far as "sound doctrine" goes. As the truth is in Gods word and not the church or its leaders. The only differences I see would be administration of gifts or styles of worship.

    Baptism and Fundamentalists

I think we can agree that getting baptized is a good thing. And if your ever in a desert miles from civilization with only one bottle of water and you have never been baptized I'm sure you would be forgiven if you didn't immerse. lol

    Is Homosexuality a Choice?

I absolutely agree. We should never let our drive for perfection get in way of our kindness and grace towards others. Though on the same hand we need to stay firm in the truth.

    Baptism and Fundamentalists

Even in the modern context there are a few groups who practice immersion who would not consider baptizing anyone in any body of water other than a running stream ("living waters"). We should also acknowledge that while immersion was a common practice of the Jews, sprinkling was also a common mode...

    Is Homosexuality a Choice?

It seems that everyone is in agreement that homosexuality is a sin. I'm a sinner too, still struggling with a cigarette addiction. I do feal bad that many who do practice homosexuality are not getting the same help and support as I do for my addiction. It would be nice to find a compassionate...

I believe that there are hypocrites in any faith or philosophy, and it's not limited to churches.

    Difference between Baptist and Nonnnnn-Denominational

Most baptists churchs do hug me and your right, it is a big generalization. Some just have a coffee social before service or a greet your neighbors thing. But they all have some kind of attention to fellowship. Of course I rarely ever attend the same church twice. And the kids like me because...
