The state of the current age Body of Christ

Generalizations? Not quite. The entirety is guilty, therefore a broad spectrum is required.

Tongues, NOT in the bible. (2)

I truly don't understand why this misconception of speaking in tongues is still up for such a debate. It's not in the Bible. Many languages is what happened, all understood. I've spoken to a woman who used to speak in tongues and she admitted it's really just her and her feelings, not...

Congratulations on nitpicking and not adding anything whatsoever to the discussion. Massive troll.

The state of the current age Body of Christ

“Unified”. “Loving”. “Accepting”. “Forgiving”. “Caring”. “Humble”. Take a moment to dwell on these words, and let them sink in to you. What do they mean? What does it mean to be these things? These are common traits found throughout the new Testament and taught by Jesus Christ. These are...

    Seeking advice on Communion

Because in one or more instance, the subject is discussed without a name, therefore a Bible search would not yield those results. And yes, it did sound extremely snarky. If you want to help, help, but don't be condescending. If you don't want to help, don't post.

    Verses on church attendance

I think Peripatetic got it right. There are no guidelines or rules regarding church attendance, because that's not how it should be thought about. We go to church to glorify God in worship with other believers, learn about His Word (something you should be doing outside of church as...

What do you think of this?

Non Christians are usually spot on in their criticism because they have a lot to criticize. And they do because we as Christians aren't living like God wants us to, are hypocrites, judgmental, bigots, and over zealous. We have a lot to answer for as a Christian body when we get to heaven, and...

    Are these activities sinful?

The problem is, you haven't given any kind of context to what you're talking about. A man dressing up like a woman is weird, sure, and it definitely is suggestive of homosexuality, but we are not under the law, the Law of Moses was for the people of Israel at that time. It has passed. It's not...

    Seeking advice on Communion

So there is a lot of controversy regarding communion when dealing with different denominations. Some say it's only for baptised members of that specific church, some say it's for all Christians in a church, some say anyone can do it. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with any of these points...

Question about intimacy in marriage life

And I agree. I had a talk with her tonight, because she feels bad about it. I told her that it's not her fault and I understand, we have our whole lives to figure this out. I'm not in a rush if it will truly help her and change the way she is. She's my best friend; I'd do anything for her.

Question about intimacy in marriage life

Me and my wife just got married. We are extremely happy with each other, are best friends, and have a very happy marriage. The only problem is that when we are trying to be intimate, it seems as if there isn't really a huge spark there in that area. We are both attracted to each other, but...

    It is indeed adultery.

Stealing? Or simply taking advantage of how a web browser works?

You are getting for free something that is offered for a price, in a dishonest way. Why would you even attempt to justify your piracy?

    Persecution

The men and women who are murdered and jailed today in certain middle eastern countries just because they are Christian are most definitely a victim of biblical persecution.

Painting with God. (Should I sell my artwork?)

Did God provide you this gift? Does God provide for us in supernatural ways, using our life, influences, people, and surroundings to benefit us and provide for us? The answer is yes, so no, God would not be disappointed if you supported yourself from His blessing on you.

    How many christians don't have a t.v?

There is no "by the Book" answer to a query such as this. Is your television causing you to sin, taking you further and further away from God? If the answer to that is "yes", then yeah, get rid of it. As with ANYTHING in your life doing just that. But what is sin to you might not be sin to...

I believe that Predestination is a false doctrine.

I'm not really sure what you mean. Can you elaborate? What don't you believe?
  19. ChrisHolland619

I believe that Predestination is a false doctrine.

I guess predestination is a bad choice of words for this topic, as indeed it is more flavorful than that simple issue. But that simple issue is all that I'm referring to, not predestination in it's totality. But to be more specific, I am simply referring to the belief system that God has...

I believe that Predestination is a false doctrine.

The Bible says that God has chosen to save us as a human race, not individually. He decided to save us, therefore sent Christ to die for our sins. Having read the Bible, this is the conclusion I have come to. But it is OUR choice to accept that or not. Hence, why we need a Savior.
