Why do many Christians find it hard to accept evolution?

So, still no actual evidence of macro evolution. Cool.

Why do many Christians find it hard to accept evolution?

I'd say it's more to do with the way evolution is portrayed. If you're referring to micro evolution, I think many Christians wouldn't have much of an argument. Natural selection is supported by scientific evidence. As for macro evolution, I'm still waiting for someone to show me anything close...

    Holidays are Satanic?!

THE key here is whether or not you are celebrating the holiday as a pagan. Many pagan holidays were co opted by the Christian church in the Middle Ages as a way to combat and convert pagan practices and people. Celebrating the birth of Christ, even at the wrong time of year, isn't pagan or...

    Reaching your potential career wise

Helping people comes in many forms. People need electricity, and they need their homes and businesses wired safely. Outside of that, you can also help people through charity and volunteering, something you might not have time to do much of as a physician.

Mandatory seat belt laws are tyrannical

Actually, this is not correct. Seat belts can prevent accidents by helping drivers maintain control of their vehicles.

Mandatory seat belt laws are tyrannical

Ridiculous statements like this are what lead to support for censorship.

Mandatory seat belt laws are tyrannical

Semi-blind post. If you don't like seatbelt laws because you're worried that seat belts only protect the wearer, I sort of understand. That argument works for me with motorcycle helmets. Unfortunately, one of the often under reported reasons for seatbelt laws is that the belt keeps the driver...

Is the bible moral? Can you have good morals if you agree with the bible on killing rape victims?

The passage you noted does not specify a rape, it discusses adultery. The passage immediately following discusses rape, specifically, and provides for the safety of the victim and the stoning of the perpetrator.

    God loves the homosexual....BUT...

Assuming that your assertion is accurate (whether I agree with it or not), does this not mean that anyone practicing any lifestyle of sin is an enemy of God? Liars, cheats, drunkards, those with hatred in their hearts, tax evaders...the list goes on? If that is also true, why are we so tied...

Obese people and motorized shopping carts in America

Rather, they get handicapped parking plates so they may walk less to go to the mcdonalds and get their Big Mac, large fry and "diet" soda.

    A little help

I know the chances are pretty slim that I'll find an answer, but here goes: When I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I was in a children's choir in Southern California (mid 1980's). Among the reportoire we performed was a song about Noah and his ark. I've had the tune stuck in my head for 20...

Gun control from a Christian perspective

What I'm saying is that Christians should obey the law. If the law allows them to have a gun and they choose to own one (bold above) then they should have one. I'm absolutely not saying that Christians should be required to have guns, as a result of being Christian, unless the local law...

Gun control from a Christian perspective

If they live in a place where firearm ownership is lawful, they may lawfully own one and they wish to own one: yes. If any of those three are not true: No. As Christians we should obey the law of the land in most cases. As for the comments by another poster about school shootings, quite the...
