Some use the Scriptures to worship and others to find God. Both use the Scriptures. Motive matters.

Mass Effect also involves occult, inappropriate contentography and bad language. I can't not condemn that game. 1 John 2:15 is plain. Love for the world stops us from caring about what truly matters and distracts us from the way of life, that is, the Lord Jesus.

when does theology become a red line?

His will is revealed in the Scriptures, no need for anything else. It's never enough, in a sense, because when you are very happy in God and someone would ask you "Is that enough?" you would probably scream "No!". Read the Bible slowly and digest it, meditate on it and you will see much more...

What do you mean by a "red line"?

Alcohol is fine, being drunk is sinful. I just stick to the Bible. Love not the things of the world because that love can't abide in the same heart if the love of God is in it. Also, friendship of the world is enmity with God and Paul made it obvious when he said not to hang out with drunkards...

See how sill this gets when you wanna defend worldliness? I condemned idolatry because souls are at stake and all I see is "If it doesn't bother you then it's ok...". Isn't that selfish? If games don't bother me, I can do them? Look, games do offer some excitement, I know. I was an addict for 10...

Do you see your last statement? How can you say that "As long as I do this and this, I'm fine."? That is not so; please come to your senses. Video games are demonic and worldliness is offensive to Christ. When it says "do not love the things of the world" it means that! In Greek also. And in...

    For converts from Protestantism:

@tChristiant: You are right; you weren't turned off by Christians but people who want to bring the world to the church because they are not drinking of a one, true fountain which is Jesus Christ and nobody else. Most, if not over 85 percent of evangelical churches are worldly.

My Conversation with Mother Mary.. or imagination??

Some, some not. Remember that Jesus said that few enter life. Due to forum rules, I can't discuss more. However, we must be careful. If the Bible doesn't say or infer, it's wrong, and there's a reason God said to abide by His precepts. That's why I reject all apparitions.

My Conversation with Mother Mary.. or imagination??

If the Bible does not confirm then I am open to superstition and that's not related to protestant theology but simple reasoning. Not everyone in American uniform was an American in WW 2. Germans were trained to infiltrate and sabotage. Our spiritual enemies are ten times more capable.

What are your thoughts on this megachurch?

Church should not trump her financial needs. No power of God will go through unless the arm of the flesh is cut off.

What are your thoughts on this megachurch?

Doesn't sound like God is in the midst of it.

My Conversation with Mother Mary.. or imagination??

Because they are not telling you to go to Christ, really, but to calm down. What OP said sounds like an enemy infiltration to me. We are to seek the will of God in the Scriptures, nowhere else.
