    Rise of the 'AI god'

Just one of how many other "gods" that will be torn down when the Lord returns. The chosen will not be fooled.

Can Christians live as enemies of the cross?

Do you think if a processing Christian denies the cross assigned to them and instead embraces their life that they "living as enemies"? So instead of (as you say) taking up their cross, they continue in their own way instead. Not denying but embracing themselves?

Can Christians live as enemies of the cross?

Yup, that's kind of my thought here. To not just do just to do, but do out of love for others. To deny myself and do the uncomfortable and/or inconvenient thing because Jesus would want me to. It's a sobering reminder to me to not take Father's grace for granted.

    Please pray for my family

Thank you all for your prayers. Things have checked out with my oldest, doctor said they aren't entirely sure why my child is feeling light headed but all the tests and screenings they did came back normal.

    Please pray for my family

A few weeks ago we thought my youngest was dying after collapsing and had to rush them to the hospital. Today my oldest is complaining of chest pain and is feeling light headed and weak. I feel like my family is under a spiritual attack, so please pray for us. Thank you.

    What color was Jesus?

He was darker skinned than what most paintings depict him as. He wasn't blonde hair blue eyes. Probably a bit darker than modern day Israelis. He would have spent most of his time outside in the sun, making his tone darker. I'd wager he was likely not "attractive" in the eyes of the world...

Can Christians live as enemies of the cross?

I'm sure that's part of it. But the immediate context of the scripture implies a personal/individual aspect as well. Paul tells the Church to watch those who do the right thing and emulate them, because there are those who love as enemies of the cross, by serving themselves (paraphrase). The...

Do you play an instrument or sing? If so share some advice!

Do you play in your church's worship group or lead worship? What are your top three tips to give someone who may want to do so but doesn't know where to start? Me: I play in my church's worship band on electric guitar. My tips? Learn the melody of the song and replicate it. Learn triads on...

Can Christians live as enemies of the cross?

I definitely think there's an aspect of what you mention. I've thought A LOT about this here lately: Jesus came just to die. Obviously that's no big shocker, and certain not some new truth I stumbled upon. But the thought of that. The Maker of the Universe, came not to receive recognition or...

Can Christians live as enemies of the cross?

‭Philippians 3:18-19 BSB‬ [18] For as I have often told you before, and now say again even with tears: Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. [19] Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on earthly things. For some time I...

    Being tempted

I certainly don't see believers as being untouchable, but the church is full of nonsense and popular theology nowadays. What I would say is that our adversary has only so much power over us as we allow him to have. Self control is not a thing in common supply it seems. Our enemy knows our...

Feeling guilty and rather overwhelmed by the conflict in Israel

Not sure where to post this, I chose this forum as this has more specifically to do with a dream I had years ago that I will post here. "Back in 2014, I had a dream in which ISIS invaded the US from the south. Four ISIS fighters, wearing black Islamic militant garb pulled by hand a giant cannon...

The Biblically Mandated Use of Hands Corporate Worship

I don't think it's a command, that would be counter to the point of worship which is genuineness before the Father. But it absolutely can be demonstrative and an outward expression of our heart before him. It's no different than a child coming to their parents and raising their hands to be...

Why are so many against reformed theology?

Not going to argue, but if you are asking because you really want to know or have the conversation. Ask in a forum where people can voice opposition to it.
