Of course it is! But rejecting a form of media out of hand is unnecessary. I'm sure we can trust ourselves to discern what is good and useful and what is not, and anything that beams the apostles into people's homes in a positive light has to be a good thing in this day and age.

I respect that position, but I do see an awful lot of good being done through the network being provided, with clergy using it to take Orthodoxy to people who would previously have been unreachable.

I think it is really important for Orthodox clergy to be visible and active on Facebook. It can be an almost peerless evangelistic tool.
