Why don't you pray for her? Also, confess to God what you feel. I also think that a Christian would start to feel uneasy/unnatural when he/she is starting to make something more important than God. Such is the case with me.

Take the advice of the others, but first of all, make sure he's saved and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. I don't know anything else that could be as life changing.
