Another thing I don't understand about the creationist position...

The TOE is not sin; Genesis is not a literal history. Finally, the Bible is not God, it is fallible. There was a time in which it did not exist, it is transitory and fallible.

You can't place a staff member on Ignore. Unfortunately.

Another thing I don't understand about the creationist position...

No, no God doesn't. Unless you hold to the idea that God stripped the writers of the Bible of their humanity, their worldview, education and foibles got into the mix.

I have a book written by a geologist who actively confronts AIG Australia about their beliefs. It is not a "handbook" merely a useful aide memoir.

I suggest the book "Telling lies for God" by Ian Plimer. I have found it quite useful.

    Anti intellectualism directed against science.

Access to the internet is only peripherally about "getting along better", although why you'd highlight just the internet as a failure here I don't know, nor is it's role to help people "fit better" into society. It's functions are the creation of groups of interest whether by BBS (showing my...

You do realise all that is a special pleading? Christianity should receive no more "support" from scientists than should ANY faith. Science does not exist to look precisely at everything other than religions. I have seen Muslims, Hindus and others make just the same kind of argument you have...
