    Michael Vick

It would be easier to forgive him if he honestly changed his behavior/showed he was sorry. From what I've read, that hasn't happened. It wasn't hard for me to root against my high school team. They were good, but if they sucked I could have rooted for someone else or just ignored them..which...

    Happy Thanksgiving

You're right...no one twists my arm to go shopping. I refuse to get up that early for that... I loathe shopping, because I loathe large crowds...so, when I do go shopping, I go after Thanksgiving, a few weeks before Christmas. :)

    Happy Thanksgiving

I can't stand Black Friday...it takes a while for me to get into the Christmas spirit, regardless of this day, and for me Christmas is a lot more than exchanging gifts...and now, BF is just a day to waste money on gifts that most likely, people will not like (not saying that's the case for...

    Michael Vick

Right...I know that he spent two years in jail. It obviously wasn't long enough. I am a sports fan...I can choose to root for whatever team I want to. I am not bound to root for one team over the other, or my states home team (they all suck anyway..) When I was in high school, I could...

    Michael Vick

Well, I'd just root for another team. Simple as that. Forgiveness is one thing, but I don't think he learned anything, since he got to start his life right where he left it, treated as though he did nothing wrong, as though nothing happened. If he was truly sorry for his actions and repented...

    Michael Vick

My deal is that animals cannot speak like humans can. I would defend an animal or child in a heartbeat before I would defend a reasonable regrown person who knows better. When I say reasonable, I mean someone who is of sound mind and consciously knows what they are doing is wrong, inappropriate...

    Michael Vick

No. I can't root for or forgive anyone who kills dogs (or any innocent animal) for sport ...it's hard even to think of forgiveness for hunting, but I know that's necessary for some.

honest now, do you find it hard to love? (apart from emotional love)

I do find it hard...I find that most people I come across who call themselves Christians are also hypocrites, and it makes me hard to identify with them. I don't want to be associated with those type of people, the kind who succumb to anything to belong. I want true, honest people, and I don't...

Does anyone else feel this way?

That's a good question. I go to church because I want to be surrounded by my brothers and sisters who follow the same faith. I feel unbelievably close to God when I go...I remember the first time I went to this church I go to now, when we started singing, my eyes welled up with tears because God...

Does anyone else feel this way?

Today, I asked myself... do I REALLY believe in God, or do I just want to go to church so I can be a part of something? Does anyone else struggle with this, or am I alone?

    Eating meat

Thanks :) I didn't know how exactly to word it. This is precisely what I meant to ask :)

    Eating meat

Hmm. I was thinking because of the way(s) in which animals are killed in order for us to consume it is inhumane. Where in the Bible does it say it's okay?

    Hebrews 10:26-31

Hebrews 10:26-31 (Quoting from by Bible, ESV) "For if we go on sinning deliberately after recieving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but a fearful expectation of judgement and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside...

    Eating meat

I'm just curious.... is eating meat considered a sin to God? Is meat "unclean" and therefore, should it not be eaten? Let me know your thoughts.

What Are Your Goals For Your Life?

Get baptized. That's my number one goal. But before I can do that, I need to truly repent my sins. It's harder than it seems. Get married. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost three years now. He's the one, I know it...we just have so much more to do before we're ready to take that...

    getting to know Him

Hmm okay. Yes I meant the bible, sorry for not clarifying... I was thinking of just diving in, and reading from beginning to end, but would that work? I mean, is that chronologically okay, will things make sense? Etc...

Ok and by gospel you mean the bible, right? If so that's what I meant as well..

    Too Honest?

They get mad/upset because they are in love with this person and only want your approval. Did they ask for your opinion on the matter? Sometimes offering that kind of information when they didn't ask for it is unwelcomed and can make them upset as well. The truth hurts...some, more than others.

    getting to know Him

What is a good book to start with if one wants to really know God? I know all of them are wonderful, but what's the best to start with?
