I just broke up with a unbeliever

Salvation isn't lost, so you are still a child of God. However, what made you want to date a nonbeliever? And yes, broken hearts are still mended as long as you depend upon God to heal it, and not yourself.

    Witnessing To My Non-Christian Friends

Well, are there any other Christian groups on campus or were those the only two? The cliquish one sounds like it could be a bit better, but creating cliques is definitely not a Christian act. Cliques tend to ostracize like it made you feel, and we should be the most accepting out of all peoples.

    Witnessing To My Non-Christian Friends

Well, everyone's idea of 'bad' and 'good' these days are different. What was their awful advice, exactly? I can see that the guy had some serious issues and yes, the couple should have convicted him. However, did the boy apologize or anything? Did he, himself fell convicted you think?

    Witnessing To My Non-Christian Friends

Hi sister, Coming from someone that is in college as well, I can relate to your current situation. One thing that I would suggest is that you sit down with them and ask them why they don't believe, often times this will give you their direct problems and questions that they have. Some may...

    Lost My Faith

My take is evolution and the Bible don't get along. Like I heard a creationist scientist say "Scripture is absolute and does not change, but our theories in science change." (his name escapes me, he was on wretched radio though). Jews believed in the Genesis account, literally, and Jesus...

How can I be proud of my faith?

Always keep your eyes upon God, never deny Him. God Bless.

How can I be proud of my faith?

Wow, I praise God that He is working in you. Unfortunately though, the answer isn't easy and may not be what you want to hear. You must stand up for Truth and what you know is Truth. Jesus commands us to make disciples of all the nations and to teach them to obey the Lord (Matt 28:16-28). So...

    Books.

The Bible, specifically the New Testament :P In all seriousness, I'd probably read the Bible before anything else, man. Get a study Bible, NIV, ESV, etc. When you read someone's book over the Bible, they may have a different "interpretation" over certain scriptures that may not be accurate. So...

    Fear of Demons

I've never really feared demons. As a matter of fact I was interested in ghost hunting before I was saved. I don't think that demons are seen so much, but felt and their actions and the consequences of their actions are what is seen, such as Islam, paganism, atheism, etc. If a demon ever...

Should I tell her that a friend is stalking her?

I'm sorry, but that's not a good reason to not tell her. Certainly wait for a little bit, but just because she's caring and trusting doesn't mean she needs to be left roaming out with a wolf (if he actually is) close behind her. I'd ask myself "If I choose to do nothing like her friend...

    A Difficult Piece

I understand what you are saying, but it doesn't mean that we should worry every second of the day, but just be prepared for the worst. I've been giving it more thought and you're right I should probably just ask, not point fingers and be a righteous Pharisee. However, I've been using my...

    A Difficult Piece

Discernment is a gift of the Holy Spirit I believe. Also, I like that note, I haven't read through much of Revelation, but that passage is new to me. I understand about the worldly pleasures......video games seem to be my biggest vice. And no problem, thanks for reading :D

    A Difficult Piece

I understand what you mean here, but what other word would I use to term "true believers" besides Christian? To be a Christian is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, repent and believe. Of course, easier said than done. Indeed, there are many people that are not followers of Christ but...

    A Difficult Piece

Wow, thank you all for the responses. First off, I think I can safely rule out the schizophrenic thing. Usually schizophrenics have other tendencies that give their condition away, but she seems like a pretty normal person. She could be on meds, but that sometimes gets noticed too........ As...

    A Difficult Piece

Yeah, I've looked at a few Illuminati theorists and found that they all had shady backgrounds. Sometimes, I think people just want a crazy conspiracy because of the movies that they watch. Anyhow, I appreciate the advice. And yes, willowoak, it is a pretty big ask haha.

    A Difficult Piece

Hi all, I wanted some advice on a rather strange subject. A friend of mine recently said that one of our co-workers is an atheist, however that isn't the strange part. This co-worker believes in the New World Order/Illuminati conspiracies plaguing popular culture and such. Apparently, she...

What it means to be a Christian

I gotcha, bud. I was just worried that you might speak to non-believers in that manner. I know that I have to keep my ego in check daily :/

What it means to be a Christian

I agree, there are a lot of hypocrites, but be mindful of what you say to them because I'm seeing a lot of self-righteousness in your post. "Her next Sunday off she will be going to church with me, even if it is just once. Why? Because a non believer seen a true believer. They seen someone...

    Thoughts?

I can't quite remember mine either. I woke up one-day in January with a conviction for the things that I was doing, but I didn't realize what was going on until much later. Some people know the exact moment that the Holy Spirit entered them, some don't. I agree, there's no need to worry about it.
