How Damaging is the Pentacostal / Charismatic Movement?

Its not what WE WANT and our DESIRES. It is what God wants and in His will. We are to desire to do God's will out of love and obedience as if we are after God's own heart. Nothing holy and genuine will be done in someone's life until their will is surrendered in active obedience to the Holy...

How Damaging is the Pentacostal / Charismatic Movement?

Faith is the root of works that only the Holy Spirit provides. Without the Holy Spirit, the root is dead, even our own works are dead even as a hypocrite. The life of the church is made up of spiritual attitudes and spiritual motivations, spiritual graces that come from deep within the...

How Damaging is the Pentacostal / Charismatic Movement?

I agree. I don't mind revival but how they do the revivals are damaging. I always had issues with "altar calls" for many years because I am very concerned about the fact that I believe it promotes easy-believism that leads to false salvation. Especially when it comes to healing. Matthew 7 is...

How Damaging is the Pentacostal / Charismatic Movement?

I noticed many Pentecostals when it comes to speaking in tongues, especially those who are in Word of Faith (health and wealth) have the attitude that breeds spiritual elitism, a superior attitude and does damage to some individuals, while building up the egos of others, but does little to...

Do we choose God or does God choose us?

Yep. I believe that "before the world was created, God unconditionally elected some (the elect) for salvation but did not reprobate (chose for damnation) any." What's so wonderful about grace, is that our pride on our humanity, the ability to think resulted eternal death from God's unmerited...

The Gospel Call And Effective Calling: What Is The Gospel Message?

Through the Holy Spirit's conviction. Salvation is accomplished solely through His will and action—not only the gift of the all-sufficient atonement of Jesus on the cross but also the gift of faith in that atonement, created in the heart of the believer by the Holy Spirit. This work is the...

    Penal substitution, etc.

In the Old Testament Leviticus 9:7 Moses said to Aaron, "Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded." In the...

The Gospel Call And Effective Calling: What Is The Gospel Message?

It is by faith but only from God. Faith is from God, not from each of us. We can do nothing to earn or receive it. Most important, this raises the whole question of the doctrine of regeneration because this is the most serious thing of all. This work is the work of the Holy Spirit, and His...

Do we choose God or does God choose us?

In the Old Testament, God calls Israel "mine elect" and chose Israel. In the New Testament, God calls Church "mine elect" and chose those whoever responded to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
