    Insights into Relocating, Please

All of your comments are appreciated. Admittingly, something very, very off has occurred in my life over the last several weeks since I've posted this thread. It could be viewed as a negative terrible circumstance at which I'm horrified to even remotely conceive as a possibility of having...

    Change Of Path

Welcome to humanity, my friend. Things really haven't changed since the times of Noah's flood, sorry to say - we can claim to be a "righteous" nation or whatever, but "the thoughts of man are only evil continually." When I see what's going on in the world and our nation, it just makes me ask...

    unshackled!

Oh my goodness!! Talk about a blast from the past!! My childhood friend's dad would ALWAYS have us listen to "Unshackled" while I was growing up - it's been 20+ years. I think in the end it's what ultimately led me to the Lord in my 20's just having heard all those testimonies week after week...

    Im done.

I appreciate you voicing your opinion about how a lot of people don't truly want to deal with their sin, which really is the root of virtually all our problems. A lot fewer Christian self-help books would be read if we really stopped trying to make excuses for ourselves on a very deep level...

    suggest me a movie

"On the Waterfront" featuring a young Marlon Brando and directed by Elia Kazan. Yes, it's an old black-and-white but it's a classic worth watching (and owning!!)

    Phobias...

Honestly, it's been so many years since I've kissed a guy that I'm literally paranoid about doing it well when I am finally presented with the opportunity to do so again. I go out with guys infrequently and never kissed the man I dated briefly two years ago. Oh goodness gracious...

How do you fall back in love with Christ when you have been burned by the church

Dive back into the Word of God - advice not only to you but also very, very much to myself. Remember what Christ said- "My words are spirit, and they are life" (Jn 6:63).

    Longing for Romantic Love?

Watch one too many movies featuring my celebrity crush. Pathetic, I know, but I live in small Midwestern town surrounded by married people with kids. Yippee. Hey, a girl gets lonely... In all seriousness, though, I try to watch my self-pitying which I have a tendency towards. Because the...

    What is the Truth ...

Reality, but because "men love darkness rather than light", often we don't possess the discernment of Christ to cut through the interior of the human heart and its deception motivating the world around us.

    Insights into Relocating, Please

I am at a bit of a crossroads in my life and would welcome some wide insight from other singles over 35. As a single woman with no kids nor a significant other, I am desiring to possibly relocate to the country of Mexico, particularly Puerto Vallarta. Why Mexico? It's cheap, I can work as a...

What is easier to have done....vasectomy or tubal ligation (tubes tied)?

Have you ever heard of the non-surgical procedure Essure? The doctor puts implants into your fallopian tubes - I met with my OB/GYN years ago but wasn't emotionally ready to have it done. I think most insurance companies cover it. Here's the website - http://www.essure.com/

    Women Hurt by the Church

After considerable contemplation, I have decided that it would be wiser to close this thread considering the general hostility it seems to generate from those who disagree with my stance. Some of the misplaced comments that were uttered cut to the bone, and I refuse to open myself up to such...

    Women Hurt by the Church

This topic has already been addressed in the doctrinal debate section of this forum and I'm worn out and sick of arguing my position regarding it. If you are truly sincere in considering the other side, please refer to Home | Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) particularly under "Resources"...

    Women Hurt by the Church

I don't recall asking for contrary opinion as part of this thread as I posted this topic in DEEPER FELLOWSHIP not doctrinal debate. This was supposed to be a place for women to open up among others but unfortunately its posts like yours that prevent it from being a safe, loving, and welcoming...
