    Good Contemporary Christian Fiction

Crazy, I'm reading a Christian book that is very good. It's The Lights on Tenth Street by Shaunti Feldhahn. I bought it just a couple of days ago and it is keeping me enthralled. Not sugar coated, not historical. You can look it up on Amazon.

    Telethon

I agree, too, but it's not all going back into ministry. A lot of them have a lifestyle that most people will never attain. Not that people who earn their money should live as paupers, of course, after all they earned it, but it can be disconcerting when it's so brazen. And you're right - it's...

    Telethon

I don't hate these TV ministries at all. I love Joyce Meyer, and I have learned a great deal from her, as well as from others. But I gotta swallow a little hard when I hear the money they're raking in. Mercy.

Konnie, I used to read Martha Grimes a lot. Maybe I should try her again. If you like her, try Elizabeth George and Minette Walters, if you haven't already.

Skybluemama, that sounds intriguing. Brief synopsis? I'm about to start They Rang Up the Police, British mystery first published in 1939.

    I need an alternative makeup...

I wanted to give you an update. It's taken me quite a while but I finally found a brand I can wear - Physician's Formula. You can buy it at the drug store. It's even better for my skin than the Clinique I was wearing. So if you have problems, or you know someone who does, this is something that...

    I need an alternative makeup...

I've thought of doing that, if I don't want to go to the next store that sells it, 20 miles away, I might get it online. I've used the Dewy Smooth makeup, lots of moisturizers. Thank you, everyone, for responding. I've read all the posts, and I appreciate your help.

"Catholic" practices and beliefs in Anglican Churches?

You're right, you didn't; you said terrible. Sorry, I was 3 pages into the posts and forgot the word you used. Do you feel it's wrong because, due to transubstantiation, it reallly is the body of Christ, and therefore shouldn't be trapped inside a display case? Or more as a worship of an icon...
