Very true again. Still, there is a small amount of hope for this country. If we can just learn to get along with each other, instead of blindly dividing ourselves for absolutely no good reason, we might be able to make the US great again. As it stands now, that seems extremely unlikely, though.

Let's face it, the republicans aren't acting on any sort of virtuous motive, either. They just want more power and will do whatever they have to in order to keep that power. Of course, dems will do whatever they feel they need to in order to ensure that they remain in power as well.

We have to pay taxes, too. Why would we simply want higher and higher taxes, when we'd get socked with those same taxes?

Wouldn't it simply be easier at this point to toss everyone out and vote a new legislature in? Neither side is willing to work towards a solution, and as such, should be removed from their positions. All of them, including the governor.
