    Anyone here have homeschooled teens?

The program he's in is called Homebound. Since he's not "officially" homeschooled - this is a temporary setup due to his medical/mental condition, it's a bit different, I guess. Thanks, though. I did find some email addresses for local homeschool support groups and sent out some inquiries.

    Anyone here have homeschooled teens?

It's online classes that are monitored by one assigned teacher. It's not live classes and there's no social aspect :-/ At least none that I know of. I'll do some more research today.

    Anyone here have homeschooled teens?

The trouble is that my son's situation is a bit unique; he's only homeschooled right now due to his anxiety issues. So he wouldn't be able to attend any groups or field trips at this point (he can't be away from home too long). That's why I was hoping to connect him to some other kids online...

Single mom dealing with puberty ( i believe )

Hey Dave :) I don't know how "back" I am.. I'm here looking for some advice for my son, really. But hello anyway! Nice to be remembered!

    Anyone here have homeschooled teens?

My son (about to turn 16) finished up 9th grade with homeschooling due to anxiety issues, and he'll be starting 10th grade at home as well. Though our goal is to get him back to school, we don't know how long it will be, and he deeply misses his friends and feels socially isolated now. I'd love...

Single mom dealing with puberty ( i believe )

Way late to the conversation, but I was a single mom to a boy for almost 12 years (married now and he's about to turn 16). We had such an open, communicative relationship, that he would just blurt out questions and comments about bodies and sex and the like, with total innocence and not a trace...

    Later dudes...

I've been absent from CF for a while now, for several reasons. I hate the new format, many other long-standing members are leaving, and after learning that staff now has access to your personal email addresses, IP addresses, and private messages (yup, they're "private" no more), I've had enough...

Welp, that was fun while it lasted

Way to swoop into a thread that's seven months old and tack on a bit more jaded male bitterness. You must feel so proud.

    Husband flirting with nurses

Of course it needs to stop. It's not only offensive to you as his wife, but the nurses have the right not to be subjected to overtly flirtatious or sexual comments from patients. Speak to the head nurse in charge of his case and ask that only male nurses be assigned to him from now on. And tell...

Spouse demanding access to all online accounts

If you have nothing to hide, then you hide nothing. My husband and I have joint everything. We each know each others' log in information to our bank accounts and stuff. I don't understand the concept of having "private" financial information when you're married UNLESS someone is trying to hide...

    Appropriate/Inappropriate?

I'd ask your wife how she feels about it. If she's OK with it, go for it. If she's not comfortable with it, don't do it. IMHO the present spouse takes precedence over the past in-laws.

Y would the Romans kill Jesus it it makes no sense

The Jews wanted Him killed. However, Jesus had committed no crime, and the Jews didn't have the authority to execute citizens, so they had to trump up charges that they could then bring to the Roman authorities. Since Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, and one with God, the Jews claimed that He...

    How 'bout them Duggars?

Here's a clue: The kids CHOOSE their lives once they become adults. No one is forcing them to marry young and have lots of children. That's the lifestyle they're used to, it works for their family, they value marriage, family, and children, and they WANT to get married and have children. I've...

    How 'bout them Duggars?

So, they're all living in some kind of fake, dysfunctional world? They're all self-supporting, happy, productive citizens. I'm failing to see how "ill-equipped" they are.

Are these early signs of baby fever?

Do we assume it's true because we're told it's true, or do we use our own brains to come to that conclusion? The medical community uses an over-abundance of caution in just about every aspect.

    How 'bout them Duggars?

I don't find their family or lifestyle "alarming" at all. They're self-sufficient, happy, law-abiding people. They don't live this way for fame, they had what, 14 children already before their show even began? None of them are forced into the lifestyle. The kids can grow up and move away and...

Are these early signs of baby fever?

FWIW, this is the sort of rubbish (no offense, Dave) that makes women feel like "old maids" by the time they're 29 or 30, which is utter and complete nonsense. Please don't feed into it. A woman's body knows when it's time to stop making babies; it's called menopause. A healthy woman in her 30's...
