Forbes lists the Pope of Rome as the 5th most powerful person in the world in 2010.

This statement, like most others here, demonstrates clearly that Protestantism is for people with BIG egos and SMALL brains. To the mods: Please ban me and put me out of my misery from reading the idiocy continually passed off as Christianity here.

    John 17:20-23 Complete Unity?

This might help. Jude 1:11-13 Rebellion of Korah: See Numbers 16. See also 1 Cor 1:10 The question you have to answer for yourself is whether Jesus and the Apostles wrote of unity as a simple rhetorical exercise or whether they meant what they said. If they meant it then you have...

The focus of evangelism should be the gospel of Jesus Christ

The only reason for that is because invincibly ignorant protestants spend all their time spreading misinformation.

Religious Tolerance in the New Testament

When "I" becomes the arbiter of truth then "I" is the the singular source of Christian Dogma. "I" felt that "I" had an "individual" experience in a particular situation so "my" particular feelings are proof that "my" beliefs are correct and that "I" am saved. Yoder is right, at least as...

Peter is Still not the Rock

His analysis of the word ότι (hoti) is not supported by a scholarly lexicon. Since his whole argument is built upon that one word, his argument fails. It is properly translated as "that"; a marker of narrative content after the verb of saying, λέγω (Lego)...

Peter is Still not the Rock

Don't bother. His Greek quotation and his understanding of word meanings is flawed. I checked a Greek interlinear (Lexham) and a Greek-English lexicon (BDAG). The fact that he ends by declaring my belief irrational means no further discussion is forthcoming.

    Messianic Jew

Read the Sabbath commandment in Deuteronomy 5:20. It points to the Exodus. Therefore it applies to the Jews.

Forbes lists the Pope of Rome as the 5th most powerful person in the world in 2010.

Actually, it is simple mind control. In the basement of the Vatican is a supercomputer hooked up to a large satellite dish hidden in the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral. This in turn sends signals to Catholic Satellites in geosynchronous orbit over areas where large concentrations of SDA reside...

To RC's: Let's clear some things up

Yes, I get that for Protestants, theology is a simple matter of opinion. Truth is ultimately unknowable. So, serious discussion here is impossible because opinion trumps God. Got it? Thanks

    Pagan Holidays

That is due to the differences between the Julian and Gregorian calendars. The East calculates their dates based on the old Julian calendar that the west stopped using in The 16th century.
