How do you lead a 'real'/genuine bible study

I am involved in a group that meets on Saturday nights, generally at people's houses and other time in the church meeting. One will bring/prepare and meal and we come and sit down and discuss the Bible. If you want something that is genuine at the core and is a Bible study I think you should do...

Don't expect a rapture in Rev. 4- the Redeemer isn't found till Rev.5

Kal - I think you misunderstood me. I was saying 'post rapture' guide. This is for the Christians I have asked who believe we will be raptured and Revelation will not be relevant to us. I was just asking "why is it written to Christians today if it doesn't apply to us?" vinsight4u - I am going...

    Celibacy???

I didn't say it was ignorance of youth. I just am saying that between the ages of 16-22 (just where I am at now) everything I have wanted has majorly, MAJORLY changed. This is true of many, many, many others. No young person owns up to it, but it is fact. I don't know you, but generally people...

Our Reward is at the seventh trumpet!

I see your point and I agree and disagree in some places. I do see partial preterism (if i put a term on it) as being the most logical choice. I know the traditional view is that of pretribulationism (today, at least) that puts the tribulation into seven years. The only part of the tribulation...

Don't expect a rapture in Rev. 4- the Redeemer isn't found till Rev.5

absolutely. I think we misunderstand why Revelations is written to Christians because we think we already know what is going on in the book. We fill in God's blanks, in essence. The book of Revelation was not written as a post-rapture survival guide.

Our Reward is at the seventh trumpet!

It's actually interesting to note that three separate times the final judgment is mentioned in Revelation. Whenever it is mentioned it is always final. Revelation 11 sees the reward of the saints and judgment of the nations and the first time the Ark of God is seen since it is last mentioned...

Why did John weep in Rev. 5?

The Elders - They fall before the throne. Things fall before God every time He speaks. Revelation 1:17, 5:8, 5:14, 7:11, 11:16, and 19:4. Most of these passages speak of the elders falling down before the Lord, although the four living creatures are mentioned also. This is just a quick word...

Don't expect a rapture in Rev. 4- the Redeemer isn't found till Rev.5

That would be a solid argument if the rapture was proof-texted in Revelation 4 when John is called saying "Come up here." The passage also states the purpose of John going up there and that is to see what is about to take place. The text, at face value, only shows John's invitation to heaven to...

    Celibacy???

Yes, for those who are young and in love., I do understand this, still being young, and recently being married. I know what it is to be away from someone whom you love. There is a great deal of conflict, more so as a couple approaches the point of being married. The desire and longing that is...

OCD makes it more of a challenge. Boundaries are rules and guidelines. Your grammar is very good. How you structure sentences is, in a sense, the same thing. It is a little more defined, but it is about guidelines and boundaries. Boundaries are safeguard sin our lives. God has rules for our...

    Celibacy???

i am married and I like it that way. it is interesting when people ask 'who should I marry' as their first question and look to the Bible. It is a good question, but before Paul talks about who we should marry he asks the reader if they ought get married. I guess I don't hear people really...

    Christian boudaries concerning entertainment.

Boundaries tell alot about a person. Despite what the world thinks they are healthy and needed for people. We, as Christians, have to approach them properly; that they are not us asking how close we can get to something without being hurt. When you choose your music, be careful how it impacts...
