Why I am voting against Barack Obama

Because we need another commander in chief like 'ol Bushy?

    The Era of Spending...

Just as a note of correction: Bush's budgets would be 2002-2009 and Obama's would be 2010-2013. You know, as budgets are, well were, passed before the fiscal year begins. So, the worst year on your table is Bush's. So, there is that.

    Attributes of God

Coming up with attributes for the Judeo-Christian god is almost certainly going to get you into some philosophical trouble. For one thing, there is still a very strong school of thought advancing the notion that god can only be described through negatives and that most positive assertions for...

Top ICE guy refuses to enforce the law

If you'd like I can start linking news stories of all the people killed by car crashes, planes, trains, dogs, sharks, butterflies, caterpillars, and ants. It'll be just as relevant.

It's Alive! Artificial Life Springs From Manmade DNA

One day, you'll read this and realize just why it is so ridiculous. Until then, I'll just you leave you be.

Cameron New Prime Minister of U.K.

It's true, but it fell apart before the Japanese had even surrendered if I remember my pol history correctly. That's really my fear for you. Oh, I'll admit that actual reform is extremely unlikely, but you never do know. Though you must admit that it'd be somewhat hilarious if the...

    Elana Kagan for Supreme Court

While that may not be sneering it is at least as bad. Just like if someone considered you a "person". I've personally found that 100% of people agree with my stance on gov't recognition of homosexual marriage. Anyone who doesn't is, by definition, just a "person".

Cameron New Prime Minister of U.K.

It'll definitely be a test of how well GB does coalitions. It should be an especially important test if the voting reformation goes through since you'll basically have nothing but coalition governments after that.

    Judge Overturns National Prayer Day.

I'm not a legal scholar, but the proper parties were sued so that the "National Day of Prayer" should now be defunct. So it isn't just binding in Wisconsin, it affects the proclamation itself. If you'd like to read the decision you're more than welcome to.

    Judge Overturns National Prayer Day.

Wow... there was a whole lot of crazy in there. Like an entire lot. Something like 2 acres worth. But unfortunately nothing about how National Prayer Day was pretty much a direct endorsement of a religion and that kinda conflicts with constitutional principles.

    Judge Overturns National Prayer Day.

Welp, no surprise I should say. I have serious doubts that this would be overturned by SCOTUS, but I'd have to see the opinion to be more sure. Link. Any links to the opinion would be appreciated.

What does it mean for you?

I currently buy insurance but due to the fact that I've had migraines in the past Relpax, the only thing that I've ever tried that works, is not covered. So currently, when I get my one or two migraines a year I'm just outta luck. This seems to be about to change, which will be oh-so-nice.

    Healthcare bill to include abortion.

Herp derp. Now that that is out of the way you should probably look at what happened in 2008. See, in 2008 the voters overwhelmingly supported the Democratic party on a platform of using the gov't to try and fix the economy and to attempt to fix our failing health care system. So while you're...

question about any proposed healthcare bill..

Which, itself, is somewhat unconstitutional. It seems contrary to the Founders' intent to require a supermajority to pass any legislation.

Marvel Comics: Captain America Says Tea Parties Are Dangerous And Racist

Hilarious. I especially love the prominence of the "Keep Gov't Out of Medicare" sign. If you want to identify with that type of idiocy then you are welcome to it.

Michelle Bachmann, the Gift that Keeps Giving

It's true she's just a congresswoman, but I don't know that the glass house reference is pertinent. Rep. Bachmann has done and said several things that have indicated to many that she has gone thoroughly off the deep end.

    Health care for everyone?

Ok. Let's assume we've decoupled health insurance totally from employment. Now everyone pays out of pocket for every dollar that their insurance costs and everyone individually buys in. How does this lower cost? And how were people forced into paying high prices when they got it through their...
