    Contraception sinful?

I meant a standard work week, which would be 5 days. Unfortunately most companies are not with you on that. I worked for one company that had absolutely horrible and stringent payed time off policies. It made it impossible for anybody with chronic health issues or a poor immune system to be...

    Contraception sinful?

I don't see anything wrong with contraceptives. They are extremely beneficial for women who have serious reproductive health problems. Many women literally cannot function for a week out of every month, and that's unacceptable when we have to work and support ourselves. Especially if she has a...

Things about women.. things about men..

Language. A little girl almost always has a more robust vocabulary than a same aged little boy.

    Not having or wanting children?

If you are child-free, you are NOT selfish for that decision! Even if it's just because you don't want the responsibility, or you don't like kids. It is NOT selfish to choose a different life path. As a child-free person myself, I really encourage others who are child-free to not give in to that...

what do you think defines young adulthood?

Actually a lot of cops will notice if somebody is "just a kid" and cut them a break. Sure some cops are jerk. But the vast majority are good people. If they pull over a young adult that they can tell is inexperienced, they would probably rather educate them and help them, not just punish them.

what do you think defines young adulthood?

I think young adulthood is a period of learning. Learning who one is, learning what one wants to do, building life experiences.

    Traditional gender roles and dating

I'm glad somebody else brought it up too lol. I saw the comment implying that it's more proper for a man to drive the lady to the date...That's a big fat NOPE. Especially in today's culture. Bad, bad idea and not considerate of one's own safety. I drive myself to the first few dates, always...

    Traditional gender roles and dating

I have no problems asking a guy out and taking initiative. If he feels emasculated or weird by that, then too bad? I don't think he would be a good match for me.

    The Marriage Debate

I wasn't very clear on my thoughts, sorry. I mean sexually. It seems very common place now for people to be promiscuous between relationships and have flings or one night stands or friends with benefits, rather than being celebate. That's what I feel is weird about myself compared to other...

    A question for the ladies.

To me that's all that would really matter. You took on the project, you worked and you completed it. You learned, and there's a good chance you'll be able to do it again next time. That's really all handiwork is about. My boyfriend built an entire fence on his own. He's not professional, he'd...

    A question for the ladies.

Maybe like, a 3? It's definitely a preference. Even if he's not experienced, but is good with his hands and is able to learn things from watching youtube vids. Growing up, my stepfather was a retired general contractor who always had projects going around the house. I'm actually quite handy...

    widows and divorcees

Yes, a divorced parent or widowed parent has a lot on their plate, and they might need help. But I don't feel like that automatically makes them as an entire group more needy, or more likely to put burdens on others. Most of the divorced parents I know seem to do just fine after they adjust. I...

    Money From the Poor

Being privileged doesn't automatically means that you don't acknowledge it, or hate civil rights, or want to go back to slavery. You don't even have to come from a super elite background to be privileged. Privilege is benefitting from the situation of your parents basically, and benefitting...

    The Marriage Debate

Idk if I ever want to get married. I'm probably a weird non-theist in that I'm not promiscuous and would rather be with one person for life than lots of people or have lots of short term relationships. I crave a deeper relationship that perhaps could be spiritual on some level. The downside of...

    Money From the Poor

No of course there's no safety net. Not when people work for a minimum wage that can't even support a single person in a 1 bedroom apartment in most areas lol. How can anybody save up and have a safety net when they have to live paycheck to paycheck? There are too many issues going on with...

    Money From the Poor

I would actually love to know how the government defines poor. Since I know people personally who work full time and rent an apartment, who are eating ramen, skipping meals and who have to have family help pay their bills, still cannot seem to qualify for government aid. And instead get fined...

    Money From the Poor

Put it in savings for whatever I want to use it for or need it for. This would more than likely include meals and necessities for homeless people and their pets, helping people get their pets fixed and microchipped, buying nice gifts for my friends who might be a little tight financially etc. I...

    Compatibility

Oh I did report them, believe me. I don't recall a prewritten no thanks button. But this was on the free ones and it was many years ago, not anything recent. So idk if that's a new feature or something that only payed sites offer. I've never really considered it rude to not respond at all. I'd...
