    Account Issues

This is my old account that I haven't used in ages. I have been using my account as MessianicMommy for some time now.

Mothers of infants -- a place to chat (2)

Tessas, we do EC from the time the kids can hold themselves up well, as I have wrist issues. My youngest is over 15lbs, so holding that much weight up on a potty to try and EC is too hard for me right now with everythng else (teething and regression) going on. There are "Potty pauses" and...

Mothers of infants -- a place to chat (2)

He tried it once and I made him let go and put him down. He didn't like that idea and hasn't tried it again. That was when he first got the two. ^_^ My oldest on the other hand... he loved the reaction and it took a good many months to get where I didn't want to just swear off the whole thing...

Sticking a toe in and testing the waters

Not a whole heap is new. Had the youngest the 6th of November via c-section, still recovering from that ordeal and otherwise ok - just super busy. :) Boys love each other and get on pretty well, but fight over my attention during the day. DH has a 4 day weekend, so he gets to learn a bit how it...

    Breastfeeding

I don't think I replied to this, but I'm still nursing Jonathan off and on, and Teddy's had the breast *only* since his 3rd day. :)

Mothers of infants -- a place to chat (2)

Hi everyone! I still have 2 under two, give it a couple months and it'll be 2 that are 2 and under. LOL My youngest has two teeth and working on two more, he'll be 5 months in a week. Oldest is regressing a bit on the potty learning and as tired as I am today, I got upset and told him if he...

Unmarried Adult Son's Visit w/Girlfriend: Sleeping Accomodations?

My parents have always had those same rules, visiting friends, family or us kids. I'm about your son's age and the rule was always no one of the opposite sex in the bedrooms unless married. And to answer Rebekka, you'd be surprised. I do believe you'd have to be careful how you worded things...

    Its nearly Passover...

I usually am, though I've been out of practice since my surgery. I'm still very sore and weak (still have low ferritin levels) most the time, and the baby is now in 12 month clothes (height and width) and almost triple his birthweight. I've a couple mei-tais and a couple ring slings. He's a big...

    Its nearly Passover...

Unless you have Celiac, in which it means weight loss. :P ^_^ I have to keep a sephardi pesach or there's NOTHING to eat out here except fruit and veggies. I'm not so good on the vegetarian/vegan side (part time as health allows), so we have to get creative. Still have nothing workable as...

Table manners for a 5 year old

IMHO, no you haven't set the bar too high. We were certainly not allowed to smack or slurp at that age, and were driven nuts by our cousins who were.

how long were you married before you had your first child?

I just saw this one. We got married legally in Sept, had our wedding on June 23, moved to Germany. By Sept the following year, we were pregnant with #1. We'd been told I'd have difficulty because of my endometriosis and celiac. The celiac got under control as had the endo (by diet) and...

    For Brits only!

Unfortunately it's the EU also, not just the UK that's got this silly law coming into play about Israeli goods. It's sick, I tell ya!

    Siddur

I chose it for the flow of reading. To me, hearing Hebrew - sounds more like what I saw readily in the Sephardic siddur than the Ashkenazi. DH was also more comfortable with the pronunciation, and he's German. . . go figure. :D Spanish was my first "second language", so it seemed more...

    Siddur

I have artscroll's Sephardi Siddur. I'd LOVE to get Tim Hegg's - but the price is right now out of our budget- not to mention if I order that, I need to order other things, and import is so expensive.. :sigh:

    Do you vaccinate?

^^ ita I've been vaccine damaged before. It's not something I'd wish on anyone or their child. Thankfully I recoverd, but it was a long time to get over it, and I am still very afraid anytime needles come out for myself.
