    Otaku Pub

This is a really awesome season so far. I haven't seen so many shows I liked going on all at once in forever. Outbreak Company, Log Horizon, Kyoukai no Kanata, Little Busters Refrain, Arpeggio, and IS 2 are all on my watchlist.

Just got my dubbed copy of Kokoro Connect today! It's only when a show gets dubbed am I willing to shell out some money for it.

    Most heart-wrenching anime ever?

Probably been said a thousand times but I'll say it a thousand and one; CLANNAD. No show has ever made me cry so much. It hit so close to home it wasn't just "heart-wrenching", it was "Take out your heart, stomp on it, bash it against the wall, run over it with a truck, grind it into dust, and...

    Sci-Fi, Fantasy or both?

I like both. Both genres seem so imaginative and free.

    Megatokyo

I read it. It's gotten more dramatic over time and there are a lot of characters to keep up with. I love that hamster that acts as Largo's concience. The last few comics are clearly building up to something big.

    Your Favorite Character

Who is your favorite character that you created. Describe him/her and tell why you like them so much. Mine is girl named Sennal. She's from a fantasy story I'm in the process of writing. Through all my characters she is the smartest and is the only one who can use magic. She fits most of the...

What Anime are You Currently Watching?

Just finished CLANNAD (which I now rank as the best show ever). Started watching K-ON, sure is fun.

    Song of ice and fire?

I'm glad I got into the books long after they were written otherwise I'd be really impatient over how long the next one is taking.

    Ideas...

Ideas and inspirations? I read or watch something else and think after a certain scene, "What if this had happened?" or "Hey wouldn't it be so cool if..." The story diverts from the original inspiration there and somewhere along the way the past is altered so that eventually the only thing the...

    New project of mine

The idea is intriguing, but could we read more about the plot?

    Tree Paper Vs. Virtual Paper?

Computer for me. I have a tendency to rewrite the same passage several times and that would take a lot of paper; much easier to hit the backspace key. Paper is good for writing down notes and concepts though.

I am going to kill him!

"I am the author! You are the character! I outrank you!" I have often thought this at several of my characters, to which the reply tend to be: "Did you say something?" "All I ask is that you be a strong, independent character you buck at her society's view of women. Whoa, wait! Thats a...

    The Effects of Media...

Media, whether movies, videogames, or someone else's writing have always had a profound effect on me. I can easily trace my current work to its roots as a LOTR inspired spark in my brain. And my newer stories were inspired by characters or events in a tv show. The fun part is taking that spark...

    Ok - I confess

There are some friends who will read what I write gladly because they like it (mostly older people). And then there are some who will barely glance at my work no matter how much I beg... Oddly enough these are the same people who have no problem asking me to write stories for them. Go figure

Why is so much Sci Fi written by Luddites?

Computer goes evil and starts controlling your house or spaceship = drama Robots go on a rampage = plenty of awsome action scenes in a book or movie Either way = someone in the story gets to talk about the irony of the creations fighting the creators or how the control is gone which =...

Oh boy, here it comes... Dungeons & Dragons?

Will Try. My friend made it sound fun.

Oh boy, here it comes... Dungeons & Dragons?

Perhaps it is not just Christians who are iffy about D&D. I live in California but mentioning Dungeons and Dragons still gets me a response along the lines of, "That game for guys who live in their mom's basement?" from just about anyone. I know a grand total of one person who plays D&D and he...

    Fantasy Magic

Failing that, he could have just not ate the fruit, giving us only half a problem instead of an inherited curse. Thanks Gramps.

    Vampires

Funny how in the old days, people could tell if a corpse was actually a vampire not because of its paleness, but because it was dark and ruddy and bloated. Proof that it had risen to feed off the living. I blame Dracula for our modern perception of vampires.
