    Luke 13

First of all, read Revelation chapters 2 and 3. the seven churches, though some are doing everything wrong, Jesus does not judge them at this point, He tells them to change. If you notice the end of chapter one He states clearly the seven lamppstands are the seven churches. We find those...

    Luke 13

Weren't we talking about salvation? The penelty of sin is death, which is what Christ did for us. But, the Good News, is the Kingdom story, that eternal life begins now. Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Posts are getting off the OP. To smother me with the doctrine of your beliefs will not create discussion.

    Luke 13

Only the dead in Christ are given resurrection bodies. The others stand before judgment physically dead, no restoration.

    Luke 13

Please explain yourself. I believe salvation is in the atonement which is the sacrifice of His death. The signifigance of the resurrection is that if He could not raise Himself He could not raise us. It is His power over death that is our hope, but forgiveness was accomplished at the cross.

    Luke 13

We are on a different plain aren't we. I believe that by being litteral I am making it personal, the scriptures are very real to me. But you are right when I speak of salvation it is about others because I have listened to my Savior and I am walking the narrow road and believing by faith. I...

    Luke 13

Actually, I just feel you have fringed my OP sometimes and to respond would go off topic. So I just start back on topic hoping to get you to answer my questions.

    Luke 13

You are difficult to converse with. Your responces always just border on what I was talking about or just on one small piece. You never address the issue completely. For instants, I was talking about the fact that uni's address hell and heaven and the and their belief that there is no...

    Luke 13

So Christians will be "cut down" for their lack of fruit? If one has Christ they cannot help but to bear fruit, like all the parables of the kingdom, it spreads on it's own. If it's not spreading in your life you don't possess it. Another thing that uni's miss in the message of slavation. The...

Jesus saved us all....now we need to enter the Kingdom.

The story only points to the fact that our judge is also our redeemer. He came down from His high place to pay our fine. I thought the girl being sorrowful showed acknowledgement of sin and repentance. Pretty basic, but ...whatever:cool:

Jesus saved us all....now we need to enter the Kingdom.

You read into it what you wanted to didn't you. I said: "I think the part in the story of the judge and his daughter was essential that when she approached the judge/father she tearful and sorry, or confessed and repented." I felt it was covered. There has never been more than one plan. To...

Jesus saved us all....now we need to enter the Kingdom.

I think in both my responces I was pointing to a percieved quandry pertaining to salvation. That though it is a free gift we still must act. It is only offered to those who would recieve it, there ARE stipulations. Belief IN Christ, and repentance from sin(which requires confession of sin...

    Luke 13

Yes, I admit that I left it out on purpose because it did not reflect directly to the point I was making. I would say that, by using the whole bible and making comparisons, that the dough is to the yeast what fertile ground is to the seeds in the parable of the sower. It spreads in good dough...

Jesus saved us all....now we need to enter the Kingdom.

And what part of your salvation do you take credit for by embracing it? While reading the last few posts I thought of another analogy of us being trapped in a circle of fire and someone throwing themselves on the fire to create a narrow path to freedom, but that requires action on our part...

    Luke 13

You quote less than half of what I give you. You missed this: The Narrow Door 22Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" Good question, look at Jesus response: He said...

Jesus saved us all....now we need to enter the Kingdom.

The answer to this lies in the truth about free will. does God go against our will to accomplish his own. I don't give specific answers to those questions because I don't wish to debate them. The other issue if God was going to hold us down and save us against our will I doubt (using human...

    Luke 13

Oh come on, what about Luke 13? Anyway, I am refering to Jesus not the whole NT. And He may not have used the word, it was the references to it, the Lake of Fire, the second death, even when He didn't call it by name just the punishment of the wicked or those who don't follow. The subject was...

    John 8:58 and Trinitarians.

I believe as you do, but I do not depend on that or any one verse to prove Jesus deity. He's "the Man" and God.

Who was he, this disciple He loved?

He's a N.U.T. Don't listen to him.:o No one should be so concerned with that question as to worry about offending anyone over it.
