    Creation: Six Days or not?

God created in eternity. Time is irrelevant in eternity. It is impossible to place the earthly time constraints in eternity. Therefore, I cannot answer this poll.

Pastor admits to Hanky Panky with wife--Forced to Resign

A bit of further info: The first step in any process involving a problem between the pastor and the parish would have been brought to the pastor/parish relations committee. If no agreement could be made between the parties, then it would have involved the Board of Ordained Ministry at the annual...

Pastor admits to Hanky Panky with wife--Forced to Resign

It must be understood that The United Methodist Church is set up in such a manner that pastors, as well as other paid staff, are told that they must agree to the sanctions of the Book of Discipline. I was a United Methodist pastor for 7 years. You can view the Book of Discipline at...

    Matthew 10:23

Here is a quote from the Jameson, Fauset, Brown Commentary. It give one of the widely accepted meanings of this passage. Matthew 10:23: 23. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another—"into the other." This, though applicable to all time, and exemplified by our Lord Himself...

Is Sexual Relations Only Purpose Procreation?

This subject came up in another forum and needs it's own place. Is sexual relations only meant for procreative purposes? Please feel free to vote and give you reasons that support your vote. Mike

    Feedback requested from leadership

Lazy, in what way? Because he is asking the church to read and is using the work book? These are simply tools your pastor is using to teach the body of Christ. I'm sure he has probably already been through the program and is only trying to help. BTW, I have used materials of this type in my...

Is "The Message" a Reliable Translation?

I was trying to prevent this from turning into "the battle of the texts". I do not believe any of the dynamic versions are accurate. Personally, I prefer comparing numerous Greek texts that I have with the RSV, ASB, and NASB. I use the Hebrew OT and compare it to the same English Bibles. Mike

Did God create men specifically to be arroused by sight?

Sorry, but God and Satan are not equals. God created Satan! How can the created be equal to the Creator? I'll give you a hint... he can't!! Mike

Is "The Message" a Reliable Translation?

The Message is one of the better dynamic versions on the market. It is closest, in comparison, to the God's Word version. Mike

Did God create men specifically to be arroused by sight?

I don't think you know me well enough to refer to me as a free thinking liberal. My theological stance is conservative. Simply stating facts about the female body says nothing of my theological positions. I'm afraid you give Satan far more power than he has. I've seen many fossils that I have...

Did God create men specifically to be arroused by sight?

    1. I'm not "obsessing" about anything. 2. The [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is a real legitimate part of the female body. 3. I didn't even bring up this issue. I fail to see how satan could have "fabricated" any part of the body. Satan does not have the power to create a body or body parts, only God does. Mike

Did God create men specifically to be arroused by sight?

This has little to do with the denial of a literal part of the female body. The [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] is an actual female body part. Colossians 1:24?

    A. T. Robertson gives the following explaination of this verse. Colossians 1:24: Now I rejoice (νυν χαιρομεν). This is not a new note for Paul. See him in jail in Philippi (Ac 16:25) and in 2Co 11:16-33; Ro 5:3; Php 2:18. Fill up on my...

Now this is ridiculous. In total denial of facts based on medical science and human anatomy.

Are you a TRUE BELIEVER or a chooser?

In thinking about your first question.... HHHmmmmmmmmmm.... Well, it depends on what you want to consider as being the Word, or Bible. Old school scholars say that the Bible as we find it in the KJV, NASB, ASB, etc. is the Bible. Modern scholars say that the dynamic versions are the real...

Did God create men specifically to be arroused by sight?

I don't think God "wired" men any differently than women. He gave all of us the same set of senses. The major difference is, that in most cases, men have a stronger sex drive and are the more aggressive of the genders. To single one sense out as being the major one controlling the male sex drive...
