    Vets on the Street.

This is a shame. While people need to be responsible for themselves after discharge, putting your life on the line for your country should count for something, and the government should be helping out. The lack of response to this thread is quite amazing, especially from those who are usually...

Does FoxNews have a agenda? ...Straight from the horses mouth..

It is pretty funny to see the local Fox News station do an hour of news and switch to Geraldo!

    "Jesus Camp" and Madrassas Schools

Point of christalees post is you claimed no one can say the Bible encourages you to kill for God. You've done nothing here but justify that, not dispell it.

    "Jesus Camp" and Madrassas Schools

Maybe, when you are hammered with the same message non-stop, it's not the same as what God did with Adam and Eve.

Canada to deny tax exemption unless Catholics/Evangelicals approve same-sex Weddings

Hah! You only answered one question though.:P I am glad to hear that though, I don't want anyone telling me how to practice religion, especially the government.

Canada to deny tax exemption unless Catholics/Evangelicals approve same-sex Weddings

First, don't tell me how Jesus wants me to vote. Second, you vote Republican on a national level? Shall I name the sinners? Third, I have witnessed nothing that says you support freedom of religion, rather that you would prefer a Christian nation, am I wrong?

I would think it's impossible to accept Christ if you don't know anything else.

Virginia House Panel Kills Lincoln Bicentennial Bill

I thought it was the war of northern aggression! Seriously, I have met many great people from the south, including Virginia and have never personally met anyone who still held a grudge.

    Truth in Ratings Act sequel

True, though I'm not so sure they are intentional, there seems to be some human nature in associating the extremes with a group. I'm not so sure Brownback isn't really representative of a large portion of evangelists either, he's just more out in the open.

Virginia House Panel Kills Lincoln Bicentennial Bill

Wow! This is worse than black people looking for reparations for slavery, it's time to let go, oh wait, you have nothing to let go! Guess we shouldn't be using five dollar bills in Virginia?

By the same token, according to you, it would be up to people to accept what the media and popular culture gives them?

Why do the US and UK refuse to leave Iraq?

Yes, because a Republican white house buried us into a situation we can't get out of, like driving a Corvette through Georgia mud pits. But it's the Democrats that don't fix things.

    "Jesus Camp" and Madrassas Schools

I never said it did, but the megachurches are the invention and crowned jewel of Evangelists. And yes, the hearts and minds of children are important. Why not give them all available information and let them make thier own choices? Do we not trust our children? Can we not lead by example rather...

    Food Nazis at it again.

Exactly. Remember the bran fad? People were eating so much bran they were bleeding. I have no problem with labelling the food properly and educating the public (though I'm not sure how effective that is after the bran thing), but let people decide what they want to eat.
