Why are they trying to shove this through without due consideration. Key members of congress have admitted that they have not even read it yet. Why not take the time to have public hearings on this so we can make an informed decision? Until they have public hearings on this bill, I'm against it.

Yes, this is what I was looking for. Also, I have been told that the full sign of the cross, from forehead to heart to shoulders was done in the Colosseum by the martyrs as a witness (which is what martyr means). Does anyone know of any documentation of this?

I don't understand the problem. I am looking into the Catholic Faith myself. Although I haven't made up my mind yet, I like the idea of belonging to a church that can actually trace their pastoral lineage directly back to one of the Apostles.

No, the sinners prayer is and extra biblical invention of man. You won't find it anywhere in the Bible. There is no relationship between the Sinner's Prayer and salvation, again, it is an invention of the 19th century. You will find no record of it before that; certainly not in the early church.
