    Anybody not getting GTA4?

This would be an excellent point...if it were not true for many other things. Every time you drive you risk getting hit by a drunk driver and getting killed. Every time you eat at a restaurant (or even eat at all, though to a lesser extent if you're careful), you run the risk of getting food...

    Oh. My. Goodness.

Awesome! Congrats!!! Once my finals are over, I really want to get back into playing those games. I haven't had nearly enough time to do so.

    profanity in games.

Heh, I don't know that I'd curse and scream, but I certainly would be overwhelmed. I'd probably just stand their in stunned silence, unable to thing. But anyway, I agree. I don't mind swearing that truly is added for the realism. There is a level, t hough, where it goes beyond realism and into...

    Interactive Fiction Creator?

Honestly, I doubt you're going to find anything. The very nature of text adventures makes it almost impossible to do it anyway other than some coding. Now, you can find programs that make this programming much much easier. The one that I've used is TADS 3. If you want to learn to create text...

    Must...mod....

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. It allows for so much better RP, if you're into that sort of stuff, and just in general makes the world so much more believable. Also I like the tiny hud mod (that's not what it's called, but I can't recall the exact name at the moment) along with btmod are awesome...

Uhhh....why did you repeat what you said in the first post?

    Any Linux users here?

I'm a linux n00b. Basically, a program my college is beta-testing crashed my desktop, so I used that as an excuse to go out, grab an external drive, and install linux on it. Right now I'm in the process of backing up important stuff before I reinstall windows. I'll be dual-booting off the...

I just got a x-box 360 what games do i have to get that blows other out of the water

This is true, it did get kind of repetitive. But from what I've seen, it still ranks up there as one of the best so far on the system. That it is. We just got HD cables for my HDTV, and things look really pretty.

Oh, yeah. I know what you were saying. My comment was more meant as a joke than anything. Ah! Forgot about that one! Great game.

    Charlie Brown

I've never had that happen specifically, but the sermon in our chapel vesper's service last Sunday (unintentionally) got me to imagine George W. Bush wearing a flowing, purple robe. I had a heck of a time not laughing at that.

    Compiling issue

I don't think it's impossible. I seem to recall compiling code my girlfriend wrote with only the .cpp's and .h's. I'm certainly not an expert on this sort of thing, though. If you try to compile it and hit errors, post them and I'll try to get some of my comp-sci major friends to look at it and...

I just got a x-box 360 what games do i have to get that blows other out of the water

Or at least the benefits of lower cost of a console versus a gaming computer that can run it (at least when if first came out, probably closer now). But anyway, I don't think any forum needs another console vs. PC argument. I haven't played a ton of 360 games since I'm not really a fan of the...

    World of Warcraft. evil?

Population of Asia: 3.7 Billion 10% of Asian Population: 370 Million Population of the US: 300 Million Supposed number of players: 10 Million So....unless you really messed up your sentence structure and meant to say something completely different, your statistics are so far off you clearly...

    Proof that Pokemon is evil

You hear it because you are listening for it and your brain makes those patterns out of the noises it hears. I heard no such thing when I listened to it backwards. There's a Queen song that if you play it backwards, it supposedly says "I like to smoke marijuana", but the thing I saw didn't say...

    halo trilogy or metriod prime?

Until I have a chance to play Halo 3/read reviews, I'm going to have to agree with Willard. Halo 2 had a mediocre story but was built for online multiplayer. And what Halo was intended to be really has no bearing in the discussion, though it is an interesting factoid.

    halo trilogy or metriod prime?

Honestly, I don't see how Halo has any more replayability than metroid. Then again, I do not consider multiplayer to add to replayability. Both metroid and Halo have more difficulties, later Halos add skulls (whatever those are) and achievements, and Metroid has more items to find and sometimes...
