Just finished quiet time with the Lord, speechless at how He works things through for good. Still in awe of the fact that in a week's time I can finally kiss goodbye the stresses of being a classroom teacher. Whilst I didn't get the job posted earlier, the research for that interview, got me another, better job which starts in a week. God is so so good!

Sister I rejoice with you. This reminds me of Ephesians 3:20. Won't He do it for you though because He's that kind of God!

Laugh....cry....share...just whatever really! :)

I looked, but couldnt see one of these threads in this section, so thought would add one! :)

I shall start off...

Laughing so hard that you are literally crying....which then leads to coughing so much you need to take your asthma inhaler!! :D Ahhh, I needed that today! :D

With all of this fear mongering, during this election year,I am reminded of this episode of "The Twilight Zone" Those of you, over 50,may remember this quote by Rod Serling.

"There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy ... The pity of it is, these things cannot be confined to......The Twilight Zone.”

So many times I feel like I want to have deep and meaningful conversations with other Christians about all kinds of controversial topics but then someone always ends up spazzing out including myself but maybe that's all a part of it. Maybe we're supposed to spazz out to break the "I'm all together" persona ya know? I guess I'm just thinking about how hard it seems for so many Christians to get past the superficial. So many times I feel like with so many Christians that as long as you wear that "Christian veneer" and speak "christianese" you're fine but whatever you do don't come real. Don't say you're hurting, tired, or slipping. Don't talk about how your heart is breaking or you're loney. Just pretend and tow the line.

Well this is where I think we are all gonna be in deep doo doo with Jesus. Because I think it's the "one anothering" or the lack thereof that's going to get us into trouble. I don't think God cares one bit about whether or not you go to church, or how many Scriptures you've memorized or even all this theology floating around. I think He cares about how we treat one another..."this is how the world shall know that you are my disciples because you have love one to another". Look around you, if we as Christians can't see this love amongst us then the world sure ain't seeing it. What is done in the dark...I would like to think I'm having a "moment" but I don't think so...

Had a pretty good week off work. About to do a major "clean up" in my life though. Got a lot of "friends" who have frankly turned into nothing but dead weight. I've texted or messaged 5 different people this week and not one of them could be bothered to take a few seconds to reply.

I've always been a loner, guess it's time to return to that.
