KKK grand dragon endorses Hillary Clinton for president

Hillary Clinton is working hard to consolidate support during a tougher-than-expected Democratic primary, but there’s one backer she may wish to back away from: a Ku Klux Klan grand dragon.

“We want Hillary Clinton to win,” Will Quigg, the grand dragon of the KKK’s California chapter, said during an interview with The Telegraph. (More)

Oh good, because there wasn't already a thread about this you were commenting in.

But let's pretend this is news. What's your point?
The thread was in a different place where there's a different audience. So I thought I'd show the news story over here.

Fair enough, I guess. So anyway, what's your point? You did read in the other thread how it's a badly executed publicity stunt by a guy who isn't even in the actual KKK, right? What are you hoping to achieve here? It's not outrage among people who might not know the issue has been comprehensively quashed already, is it?

The point is to share the news article.

The article says that he's "the grand dragon of the KKK’s California chapter".

The article says that he's "the grand dragon of the KKK’s California chapter".
And the actual KKK say he isn't, as you well know. So was I right? We're trying to provoke outrage with an issue you already know has been debunked?

I showed evidence, but I'm still waiting for you to show some. Here's another photo of him and a local news article about him in the place where the OP article says that he's a member of the KKK:

Video shows bloody KKK confrontation in Anaheim

The Register has obtained new video of Saturday’s bloody confrontation between members of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and counterprotesters at Pearson Park in Anaheim. More

Seeing self-professed Christians spreading dishonest suggestions about the rivals of the Earthly partisan politicians and political parties they support makes me think we're living in the time of the Antichrist. We must be careful who we elect to serve and always hold ourselves to the highest personal standards.
I don't necessarily think the anti-Christ is involved. But yes, seeing people wilfully spread misinformation they know to be false because it suits their ideology is pretty disappointing.

I'm really curious about the thought process, frankly. Is it "if I say this enough times and get enough people upset about it, it becomes true"? Or is it an "ends justify the means" thing, like "I dislike Hillary, so I will spread misinformation about her, because even though I know it is false, turning people against her is a greater good"? Or just simply a "I really REALLY want this to be true, so I'll just act as though it were" type of thing? I think there's a word for that.

I really don't get it.

Yes. And the other thread, that you were actively participating in, had several links to the actual KKK disavowing the guy. As you well know.

He told the Orange Register that he's in the KKK. The KKK say he isn't. Who shall we believe?

Years ago I was involved in a Governors race in my state. The candidate and I went to visit an old former governor who was known to be quite colorful, and a little divisive. At the end of the meeting the old governor told my candidate "I'll be for ya or agin ya. Whichever helps you the most."

The reverse is probably common enough, too. "I'll be for ya or agin ya, whichever hurts you the most".

Just trying to get to some semblance of the truth here. I can't find anything online that says Will Quigg is NOT the grand dragon of the California Chapter of the KKK. Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction. Now he may or may not have donated 20,000 dollars to her campaign of that Im sure we will never know.

Exactly. The evidence thus far shows that he is a member of the KKK.

What you need is evidence he is the Grand Dragon, evidence he donated that amount to the Clinton campaign, and evidence that they accepted it while knowing who he was, before it says anything negative about the Clinton campaign.
Not finding evidence that he's not the Grand Dragon doesn't mean anything.

All articles claim he was the grand dragon of the California chapter of the KKK. Someone argued that LWU was posting something dishonest and that Quiggs was NOT a KKK dragon. Unless someone can prove that he was NOT a dragon, all we know from every other article is that he is. Nothing dishonest in the post. Now it is true that we will never know if he actually gave the $20,000 or if he did, if Hillary accepted it.
