I'll fast with the both of you. Praying for one another is assumed. I'm currently on Day 3. I will be fasting for 26 days in this fasting schedule from 15/8/16 - 9/9/16. I drink to keep energy levels up. Spiritual devotion in this fast will be 5 hours a day for about 20 days then 6 hours a day for the last 6 days. I will rest for 9 days before the next fast as I predict my spiritual objective will not be accomplished at the end of this fast.

I fasted for 10 days from 13/6/16-22/6/16 with 23 hours of spiritual devotion or 2.3 hours a day. Rested for 4 days. Lost 4.1 kgs during fast. Gained 3 kgs during rest.

Then next fast for 15 days commenced from 27/6/16 - 11/7/16 with 46 hours of spiritual devotion or 3 hours a day. Rested for 6 days. Lost 5.7 kgs during fast. Gained 4.4 kgs during rest.

Then next fast for 20 days commenced from 18/7/16 - 6/8/16 with 86 hours of spiritual devotion or 4.3 hours a day. Rested for 8 days. Lost 6.9 kgs during fast. Gained 4.9 kgs during rest.

Spiritual information presented here for guidance and reference. Spiritual objective still not accomplished therefore the need to keep at it.

How do you overcome temptations / desires etc

I've been thinking whether to pass you this information or to withhold it. My thoughts are that this knowledge I possess maybe confined for myself for the specific purpose which God has ordained for me to accomplish. But then again, this information may be useful for a desperate person in need of God's attention.

How do you overcome temptations / desires etc

To do this kind of thing is a matter of will, grace and enlightenment through the Power of Light.

The most important bit is your will to do so, meaning what are you willing to do and sacrifice to accomplish that. Referred to as faith or morale.

The methodology which I am setting forth here I know from experience through application works against the power of darkness. The only question is whether you are willing to apply it to your life, that's all.

Example of how fasting is used for spiritual warfare against the power of darkness based on my experience:

Objective: To fight and battle and war and contend against sin, the devil and power of darkness using the rigours of daily spiritual devotion to the Power of Light.


A Very Important Note here:

Remember, you're going to War against the power of darkness. War is not a thing to be trifled with. Demons are full of pride and don't like to lose. You zap one out of you, he will go and call for reinforcements and they will wait for you to make an error of judgment due to weakness and take that opportunity to come back into your life again. Demons don't like to lose. It is the nature of pride.


My Methodology: By use of Fasting, the Word of God (The Holy Scriptures), Messages of the Lady of the Rosary, Prayers using the Holy Rosary.

(Methodology is contingent upon a person's spiritual background.)

Now you go into battle against the power of darkness. The most important element in the outcome of spiritual war is your will, faith, morale. You must not let your will, faith, morale be broken by the power of darkness. You must keep fighting until the power of darkness is destroyed by the Power of Light in you. This can take a while especially if you fall down a lot and get whipped by the power of darkness initially all the time. You have to get up, keep fighting and never give up.


1st Campaign against the power of darkness:

10 days of fasting from solid food. Drink sweet drink for energy for spiritual work.

Start fasting on Monday.

Everyday, 2 x 1 hour spiritual devotion. The spiritual devotion is spread equally throughout the hours when you are awake.

1 hour of spiritual devotion comprising of 15 minutes of the Word of God and 25 minutes of the Messages of the Lady of the Rosary and praying 2 Rosaries. 1 Rosary comprises of 50 Hail Mary's and 5 x Glory be's, O my Jesus' and Our Father's, 65 prayers.

Upon completion of 1st Campaign, rest for 4 days. Feel the Peace you receive. Analyse results. If results are unsatisfactory, prepare for 2nd Campaign.

The devil and the power of darkness will tend to get you back when you are resting. This is called taking advantage of your enemy while they are resting for your own survival.


2nd Campaign against the power of darkness:

15 days of fasting from solid food. Drink sweet drink for energy for spiritual work.

Everyday, 3 x 1 hour spiritual devotion.

After 10 days of fasting, you gain spiritual momentum. The last 2 to 3 days of the fast can be difficult so you will have to concentrate harder especially if someone is cooking delicious food.

Upon completion of 2nd Campaign, rest for 6 days. Feel the Peace you receive. Analyse results. If results are unsatisfactory, prepare for 3rd Campaign.


3rd Campaign against the power of darkness:

20 days of fasting from solid food. Drink sweet drink for energy for spiritual work.

Everyday, 4 x 1 hour spiritual devotion.

Upon completion of 3rd Campaign, rest for 8 days. Feel the Peace you receive. Analyse results. If results are unsatisfactory, prepare for 4th Campaign.


4th Campaign against the power of darkness:

26 days of fasting from solid food. Drink sweet drink for energy for spiritual work.

7th Campaign against the power of darkness:

44 days of fasting from solid food. Drink sweet drink for energy for spiritual work.

Everyday, 8 x 1 hour spiritual devotion.

Upon completion of 7th Campaign, rest for 12 days. Feel the Peace you receive. Analyse results. If results are unsatisfactory, prepare for 8th Campaign.


You basically keep going until you attain your aim or goal. If you run out of energy stores on your body, rest longer.


Some knowledge about Long Fast while drinking sweet drinks from my experience.

1st week of fast, weight loss about 3-4 kilograms, depending on body size.

2nd week of fast, weight loss reduces to about 1-2 kgs.

3rd week of fast, weight loss reduces to 0.5-1.5 kg.

Weight loss reduces the longer the fast.

When your tongue is coated with a white paste while you are fasting means you can still fast. When your tongue is totally clear of the white paste means you have to stop fasting because you have run out of bodily stores for energy. You will look like a skeleton before that happens though, with little fat stores.

Fasting is not the best way to lose weight. Eating temperately is the best way to lose weight. Fasting is for purification and spiritual warfare.

After a long fast, it takes about 2-3 days to get digestion process going efficiently. So first 2 days after long fast, eat slowly and carefully as you don't have much saliva. If you eat too much after long fast, your body takes a lot longer to digest the food.

It takes a while to master this ability to control your appetite especially when breaking a long fast. Just eat bit by bit at a time and don't stuff everything into your mouth all at once in one meal.

For breaking fast, best foods are watery foods like fruits (watch the amount if sweet fruit), soups and vegetables.

You'll be surprised how quickly you gain weight with the same amount of food you used to eat after the fast.

You'll find when in the fast and doing your daily spiritual devotion, the power of darkness is reduced to a point where it really struggles to get you to sin or affect you due to a Lack of power. You'll be amazed at the Power of Light. You get lots of Peace while fasting long.

After and during the fast, you will feel peace.

Praying the Holy Rosary and reading the Word of God (The Holy Scriptures) and Messages of the Lady of the Rosary without fasting lacks Spiritual Power to contend with the power of darkness.

The Power of Light from my experience Loves Sacrifice of self especially Fasting. Fasting enhances the Power of Light to contend with the power of darkness. The power of darkness abhors sacrifice of self.

My daily spiritual devotion was between 10-14 hours a day for 3 months without fasting and the result was totally unsatisfactory when it came to contending with the power of darkness. This was done to find out how important fasting is in spiritual warfare.

Fasting is Absolutely Vital for the Power of Light to contend with the power of darkness in you.

Hi - thanks for your input. I personally have no idea about the Holy Rosary or the Message of the Lady, so please excuse me if I don't use this method. I just pray to God in Jesus name. I don't have much experience in fasting like you - at the most 5 days (water fast).

I'm under obligation to Almighty God, (ordered by Him) to bring about His Glory. That's why I do what I do.

Oh wow, thank you for the time you took to type this all up! Some interesting points you've mentioned especially in regards to how to break long fasts and the whole process of it all.
While I don't use the rosary, I have had similar results during long fasts. It's unbelievable the amount of peace that God gives us during and after it. I also like how my flesh/carnal self doesn't seem to care about things I normally would be irritated about when not fasting. For example, if someone was tailgating me or cutting me off on the streets, I can get irritated/annoyed for a bit then try to forget about it, forgive, and move on. When fasting, however, I literally don't even care lol. There's no hint of irritation or anger.. it's just a ...'oh, cool' type of response. And the joy that one gets from fasting..especially extended ones..is beautiful. Can't wait to fast with you guys this weekend! Much love in Christ.

Hi Spirit Reborn, I was able to do a partial fast - prayed for you and also for you Gabriel Anton. I will continue now and then in fasting but I am not sure exactly when. May God bring a release in our problems and "break the yoke". In Jesus name, Amen.

Demons are not allowed near you if you take dominion and utilize your weapons which are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, which is a very scriptural thing.

It's unfortunate, I learned something about that very sentence yesterday.

In the context I used it in it is still correct.

In the bible where it has that quote it is referring to negating the waxing of a cold heart.

So in the context I used it in, it is still correct, however biblical evidence of this will not even have the quote.

Means angels (hosts of heaven) will fight to get rid of any demons around you.

It is common to read warnings against seeking mystical experiences, affective experiences of God, not just intellectual experiences of Him. My experience has been different. Also with regard to demonic persecutions. In both areas some of them were so 'off the dial' I'd be embarrassed to list them. A same person would think I was making them up !

A few observations :

If you have mystical experiences, they are likely to presage severe trials. One can never get blase about them, but you can get used to them through frequency, itself due to an unprecedented level of trials, as I have been experiencing for the last few years, chiefly in the form of 'obtrusive thoughts', thoughts of a vile nature, infinitely exacerbated by people sometimes tuning into them ! Having a guilt complex since my youth, the intelligence services work on it regularly, but I get sustenance through praying the Hours (the breviary), daily Mass and Holy Communion and other prayers. They are slowly winning, but they won't win in the end - even in this life. They are just trying to shut me up (stop my internet opinions on politics and geopolitics), but some of the types at the top do have connections with satanism, human sacrifices (abducted children), etc., and I believe some of their wicked shenanigans have been aimed against me. On one occasion, possibly one of those sacrifices. Always, after I've made a point I believe they would have been angry about.

Another source of reassurance to me is that I read in a newspaper that Mother Theresa was persecuted by such obtrusive thoughts on her deathbed, and was offered an exorcism which she gratefully accepted. Also a devout friend of ours experienced the same on her deathbed from cancer.

I've had physical ghostly attacks, too, but never been harmed. An attempt to throttle me on two occasions - at locations hundred of miles apart, too. A poltergeist in residence, as well, but mercifully restricted in what it is empowered to do, so barely heeded, and not a source of anxiety. Occasionally, a loud noise, TV coming on in the middle of the night (remedied by pointing handset away from the TV), picture freezing and juddering during the day on occasions; a small mirror and a comb (in the middle of the night) being thrown with some force on respectively, to the floor and against a wall. The small light mirror didn't break when it hit the lino in the bathroom.

Spirit Reborn, this was largely written for you, though initially responding to Hieronymous' warnings about seeking mystical experiences. It's a common enough stricture, even made, I believe by St John of the Cross. It has not been my experience however. Seeking psychic experiences is officially proscribed by God in Scripture, although mystical experiences of God, angels and saints are not. But expect major trials, if God accedes to your requests.

Also, it helps to bear in mind that the term, 'mystic', is solely a term of convenience. It is not a characteristic intrinsic to a person's nature or a faculty that is possessed by the individual, any such experience being given at God's sole discretion and for his own reasons. They will be all 'small beer' compared to what all of us will experience in heaven.

Incidentally, I find that eating less than I would normally and avoiding most sweet-tasting treats that I covet, such as ice-cream and cakes, helps me pray longer - be able to stay awake to do.
