Which of these fantasy movies is your favourite?

shouldn't "highlander" be in that list? that would me my favorite.
actually the book "the neverending story" is one of my absolute favorite books. however I don't think the movie did it justice (although by comparison with its successors, the first one want so bad after all).

Of the movies listed, I have to go with The Princess Bride because it's such a classic (and IMHO so much more than just a "fantasy movie.") Honorable mention to Krull, because it's also one of my favorite 1980s fantasy flicks.

Bottom of the barrel is The Neverending Story -- I didn't really care for the movie at all, but the Michael Ende novel upon which it was based is excellent.

That was horribly difficult to pick one.

What a blast from the past. I loved Time Bandits. Gosh this video montage brings back some memories. The 80's were great for fantasy movies.

TIME BANDITS RULES!!! I have probably seen that movie 50 times! It used to be on every single day on HBO in the 80's! LOL!

Princess Bride, in my top 10 across all genres. Labyrinth in my top 10 within the genre.

The princess bride, I love that movie!

Time Bandits was the best on that list. Good movie still worth watching once in a while.

I like the Princess Bride because it is romantic. I also really like the Never Ending Story, It encourages creativity and reading, and I am like the Child Empress.

This thread could have included Dark Crystal too.

I chose Labyrinth with Time Bandits as a close second.

You have the start of a good list. But I feel that you have overlooked several films from that decade which would help to round out your list.

And that does not include three of my favorites, which have a high degree of nudity and bloodshed, Conan the Barbarian, The Sword and the Sorcerer, and Excalibur.

I've never even heard of a lot of those movies. I have seen The Princess Bride. I liked it a lot.
