Um, a snapping turtles 'smile' is nothing to get your hand near!
I have had them come up while fishing and i have fish on stringer, they start eating my fish! And they will tug o war with you over that! I usually yanked the stringer away and fed the turtle the smallest fish...it would eat, then come back for more..I had one HUGE 2' round turtle come up in a river one time after my fish..eek...that was probably the biggest I ever saw...
