Is anyone else on the quarter system and taking finals this week instead of soaking up the glories of summer? If so, I am crossing my fingers and toes and wishing on stars that all goes swimmingly for you. :)

I started my summer internship (which is fantastic on an epic level) a couple of weeks ago, but flew back to California for spring quarter finals. I have to miss two days of my internship, but will be able to work on a couple of Saturdays to make up for them, so it's all good in the hood. It's been awesome seeing my friends. I just wish we were reunited under more fun circumstances. We're just studying, and when that's not happening everyone's talking about freaking Brock Turner. *Shudders*

Do you get care packages during finals? Those along with the puppies on campus are definitely the best part. I have four parents, plus grandparents. It leads to a lot of joy going to the mail room. :D

Yeah - I remember those days. Mich State was on the quarter system back in the day ......

BTW - what is your opinion and that of your fellow Stanford students on the pitifully inadequate sentence that rapist got?

My only suggestions are to make sure you eat right, get plenty of rest, and avoid studying material in huge chunks over long periods of time without breaks.

I've found what helped me is reorganizing, rewriting and building upon my lecture notes on a regular basis throughout the semester. Sometimes study groups can be a big help as well since you're able to employ speech and sound interaction with the material(i.e. using more senses).

It's that time of the term again! I hope everyone facing final exams is keeping calm and carrying on. And that you have ample access to chocolate and hugs. I just procrastinated by reading about how to battle procrastination, haha. It does have some good tips, so I'll share them here: How to Battle Procrastination | The Duck Stops Here

We just got therapy puppies on my college campus this year! So wonderful for when you get homesick or miss your own dogs, whoever came up with the idea is a certified genius in my mind. Now I just have to find a way for them to let me keep a dog in my dorm....

I've never heard of anyone pulling that off. Fraternity and I assume sorority houses are a different matter.

I procrastinate. And I have many things to work on before the beginning of my exams, monday. Sometimes I hate myself.

Anyway, good luck anyone for your exams!

I'm sorry to screw up this forum, but I had something that I wished to say to thehehe. Thank you for your patience.

If you'll pardon me for my forwardness, I'd just like to pay you a large compliment. I tried to send you a personal message containing the compliment, but apparently ChristianForums has decided that I am not to be trusted with the overwhelming power to send personal messages yet, so here I am. I just wanted to thank you for your earlier compliment of me, and say the same of you. I read some of your material and truly enjoyed and respected that which you had to say.
Unfortunately, it is almost like finding a herd of unicorns when you find someone our age who seems to know The Lord, his heart, and loves him with all of their heart (I do not wish to be premature and claim unequivocally that you are this way, but I would be genuinely surprised were you not). But that same rarity makes such a discovery all the more precious. It also seemed like you have a genuine, caring, and sweet heart, which makes you all the more special.
My inclination is to continue on with these praises, especially since I understand the unbelievable rarity and value of a wise and good woman of God (Proverbs 19:14 / 31:10-31), but I don't want to creep you out or to make this comment unreadably lengthy. That said, I also want to compliment your command of the English language and tell you that after this, chances are that I will never touch ChristianForums again, except to very rarely respond to a particularly desperate discussion posted by someone in need. If you care to chat with me anytime, just say the word. Thank you and adieu.

I must tell you how your message touched me. I don't think anybody ever told me that I knew God, honestly I never considered it myself. It deeply surprised and moved me. Your whole message did the same way. I don't think I am as kind as you seem to consider, but it moved me to read it.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It would be a pleasure to chat with you.
Farewell to you, I wish you all the best on your path.

I'm immensely glad that my message was meaningful and impactful to you, but I feel that I've hijacked poor Stanfordella's forum enough by now, so here is my email address if you ever care to capitalize on my earlier offer (I do not have any form of social media). I would be delighted to hear from you.

I sure hope that putting that out for the whole internet to see doesn't end up biting me in the butt later on. Oh, well. :)
