But they need to play him.

Oh I agree what I had in mind was he would be playing at least 5 days a week. They have a stretch coming up real soon where they only have 1-2 days off in 45-50 days. Getting veteran players rest during the heat of summer is a good thing and I think they could finagle it, that is if they will let him play some OF. If not then send him back and let him play everyday.

Wash sat Profar in 2013 when he was up and that set him back I think.

Yeah Wash was kinda hard on younger players he didn't play them a whole lot. He rode his "horses" into the ground instead which I think cost them at least 1 WS and maybe both...

Boom sticks in Tribe town. Watched most of the game and Holland held his own well. Good use of off speed pitches to get strike outs.

Colby up next and then we get see if Hamels will bounce back from his worst start of the year.

Looks like the team is on a run at last and getting their record up where it should be. Seems to be more offensive production that is keying the run, is because Mitch and Prince are becoming a bigger threat or because Profar is getting on base???

Just think what would happen if Prince was given a seat for a few days.

Also concerned Bush and Dyson are going to lose their arms with overuse.

Especially with Bush. No reason to bring in Bush with a 7-2 lead that is what Claudio is for.

He is already showing some signs of fatigue and needs a breather down at RR.

Yeah he probably isn't in top condition so they need to let up on him a bit, Claudio and Jackson haven't pitched since the 27th...

Jackson gave up the go ahead run then Rua tied the score at 4-4 eventually leading to extras. LucJak did well in the 8th and 9th holding to the tie then Claudio did good relieving him until a lead off double the next inning.

Seems Banny had no choice going with the mid and long guys as he burned his set up and closer the previous two nights with a larger lead.

My concern is we did not see Diekman at all this series and hope he is not injured.

BTW,
Sonny boy came out of his foot surgery well today.

Think he launched a 3 run homer today and Nicholas hit a granny in extras for RR.

Did you see the box score for that game? One of the relievers comes into the game gives up 6 runs then ends up getting the win, go figure...

Diekman pitched in Tuesdays game...

Since they were up by 4 going to the bottom of the 8th they could have used Luke or Alex in that game to try to rest Diek, Bush and Dyson...

Am beginning not to like how Banny is working the pen, beginning to remind me of Wash. :sigh: Can't let some of the relievers sit for 4-5 days (or more) at a time they lose their edge...

If I was a position player yesterday at RR I would not be happy at all to say the least.

One site I go to for Rangers info (sportshoop.la) has a daily Banny bash on his use of the pen arms and keeping Fielder in the lineup. Mitch Moreland at least gives us good D at 1B.

Good, so I'm guessing crutches and boot for the next 6-8 weeks???

Cast and crutches for 3 weeks. The surgeon released some scar tissue from his surgery when he was 2 years old, stretched out a little the tendon leading to the big toe, removed the bone fusion on the left top of the foot, injected fat tissue into the gap between the bones. He said since after all of the above his foot range of motion looked great and will only need to be in the cast three weeks. At that point cast comes off and given the type of surgery working range of motion (keeping active within reason) is the course to take. Good news is given this surgery was a huge success, doc does not think another corrective club foot surgery is needed (meaning releasing and stretching out the heal cord).

Of course the surgeon knows sonny boy loves baseball, he said going forward his foot should not be a limiting factor in any activity of his choice. Was glad to hear that!
