I opened this important issue on an appropriate forum a long time ago and got some very angry and irrational responses. As in trying to derail it.
This is NOT an encouragement to assisted suicide.
Living Wills could even be used to prevent the shortening of life in hospitals.
A doctor said to me that we need to all be honest and realistic about decisions made in hospital not to extend life, made just in order to release beds.
Because medical science certainly has the means to overturn nature (and the will of God?), in extending consciousness well beyond the body's ability to sustain itself.
What are your concerns about 'end-of-life' decisions?
