I tried this next one out of curiosity because I would have never thought to make fried shredded wheat, that just sounds off. But I will try weird once and I really liked it so I thought I would share it here

It was pretty good, I must say.

I have tried peanut butter and pickle sandwiches and I had no problem at all with those, I could deal with it (so you might be right to doubt my judgment)

And since on the topic of breakfast I will post Jamie Oliver's perfect porridge 5 ways. He cooks it one way and prepares it 5 different ways.

I use Bob's Red Mill Scottish oatmeal, I really like that, and I prepare mine with water (like in the video). I prefer between a tablespoon or two of cream, 1 1/2 teaspoons of brown sugar and a drizzle of honey also (sometimes with banana slices, sometimes not).

I was looking for ideas for this and I often like what he puts out there so I posted it for folks who might be looking for more of a variety with that as well.

God bless

Yeah I saw this guys video while searching through some of his gardening vids and I had to peek. I thought, hmmm... I will have to give this bad boy a try. His looked so delicious too, I couldnt wait to get to the store so I could try it. I was glad I did.

I bought a huge box, because I thought, great, I will bag the rest using my food saver. So I put three in one bag and as my food saver was sucking the air out of the bag it crushed the shredded wheat cereal bars (turning them into powder) ^_^

I thought, now that was a very bad idea LOL!

Now yours sounds interesting, how did you cook your grape nuts?

Toasting them, like you would almonds?

I never thought to do that either, I might have to give that a try too.

Just gotta get us some grape nuts first, I know the food saver wont turn those into powder

I cant believe I didnt think that would happen

We just cooked the grape nuts with water until the water was absorbed, they can take a lot of water, and it gets all mushy, then we'd add honey and cream. Don't believe we ever measured anything, heck, I'm 65 and I was around 10--don't remember!! Never thought of toasting them first.
HHMMM----powdered shredded wheat---novel idea:ahah:

Yeah, I dont know what I can do with powdered shredded wheat
(but I better think of something LOL!)

Gotta try that, never have. Not much of a breakfast eater or breakfast food lover, but lately the stuff sounds pretty good, even if I ate it for dinner.

I dont know how you remember to tie your shoes at your age
(let alone reach your feet to do so)

Just messing with you ^_^

Im no spring chicken myself

Thanks for the granola idea God bless you
