Not exactly Christian of me, but this guy drove me nuts.

Drunk Guy: So why do you wear that hat?
Me: I like it.
Drunk Guy: Yeah, but why do you wear it?
Me: ...because I like it.
Drunk Guy: What about the ladies?
Me: I'm married. I don't care.
Drunk Guy: But why do you wear it?
Me: I don't know why this is hard for you.
Drunk Guy: I don't like it.
Me: But I do, and so does my wife.
Drunk Guy: Are you trying to fight with me?
Me: I'd kill you. I still don't care what you think. I like it, and so does my wife.
Drunk Guy: But I don't.
Me: I literally don't care. If you got hit by a bus, I wouldn't care. Understand yet?
Drunk Guy: I don't know.
Me: I hate you.
Drunk Guy: Bartender, he hates me.
Bartender: I hate you too.

I win.

LOL!

I did after. I just can't stand people bullying me. I always talk back. It's one of my worse sins.
I wouldn't say he was "bullying" you exactly, just being a drunk jerk. And there's a diff between escalating it vs simply standing up for yourself. IMO people who let others walk all over them haven't exactly earned any applause.

I'm an easy target. I dress a little differently and I'm mostly nonverbal when I'm out in crowds and I sway a lot so people get drunk and take advantage. I rarely go without a friend, my wife, or mom/dad, but I have a tournament today and wanted to get some games in. I got in trouble in school because a kid spit in my hair and I told him I'd shoot him. I always talk back.
We're you wearing your newsboy hat?

FYI most alcoholics don't fit such silly extreme stereotypes.

If one per cent of the worlds alcoholics fit my definition I'm afraid my hypothesis holds.
BTW I never claimed that alcoholics in general behave in the way I described, but I said that most people who drink have annoyed a fair share of people during a lifetime due to their behaviour while drunk and that they/ we've probably added to more than a few people's time in Purgatory...

You must be used to drinking from really big glasses. :) A bottle of wine is about 5-6 glasses, roughly.

It was ment ironic...
I have yet to meet a person who underestimate his or hers drinking habits, just sayin...

I'm not quite sure how to take this to be honest. Are you saying I am not being honest when I say I drink two glasses of wine on occasion? My father was killed by a drunk driver and my uncle died from alcoholism. I'm not sure if I should be offended or not....

Don't be offended please.
It's a common saying in my country so I thought it to be in the US aswell.

Believe me when I say that it wasn't directed at you personally at all.

I'm so terribly sorry about your father.

? I give up, what's your "hypothesis?" That there are alcoholics in Purgatory? Undoubtedly, but I doubt they are there solely for being alcoholics, and there are far more people there who never touched the stuff. ie I don't disagree with what you're saying per se, but I don't get your point.

BTW I never claimed that alcoholics in general behave in the way I described,
It certainly appeared that way.

I said that most people who drink have annoyed a fair share of people during a lifetime due to their behaviour while drunk
Well, not quite; you mentioned them doing things far worse than simply being annoying, but either way really, both are also just an opinion - (and invalid ones to boot, IMO) - you're stating it as fact. I've been around my share of people who'd had one too many in my life (though few recently) and their behavior varied a lot, but the most by far behaved themselves.

I have yet to meet a person who underestimate his or hers drinking habits, just sayin...
Then you might want to find a better place to meet people. Wow. I know many people who drink. Extremely few drink to excess much if at all (or if they do they hide it well!), and those who did so rarely got out of line..and I've yet to know one who did any of the things you mentioned earlier. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I doubt it.

Many alcoholics in their drunkenness suffer short term memory loss. The more they drink shorter the memory. Some will make an oath to never drink again, and they say it with absolute sincerity and conviction only to forget what they just said and pick up a drink and drink it.

Some can drive a car from A to B and not remember how they got there. Their drunken brain did not record the trip at all. Many people in prison are there because of such a blackout. They are in prison, but cannot remember their crime.

Korsakoff syndrome is a severe memory loss disorder, liken to a permanent blackout.
Also, Alcoholism is a mental disorder.

So please be patience, tolerance, forgiving, and understanding.

The drunk guy at the bar doesn't automatically equal an alcoholic. It indicates a drunk guy at the bar who can't handle his liquor. And I won't be patient with them when they're in my face telling me I look stupid.
