The sound of Music. Hands down the best Disney flick ever.
That wasnt disney. I thought it was Warner Bros and a rodgers and Hammerstein musical.

Millennials are those born between 1980 and 2000, also known as Generation Y.

Ahhh its good to be an Xer. :p

Disney Cartoons - Robin Hood a close second Sword in the Stone. 2 of my favs growing up.

Pixar - Cars, because, cars. Its a Chevron commercial full length.

Actual movies - Xmen I guess (If we are counting everything disney... they also own rights to Marvel movies so. not being a fan of Starwars and the last movies of Pirates being garbage....... I gotta go with the Xmen series unfortunately.

Now I'm embarrassed. lol. I just looked it up. I could have sworn Disney made it, just because of it's outstanding quality.
Answers.com says it was 20 Century Fox.

I'm going to go with Mary Poppins, as you suggest.

Did you see the movie, Saving Mr. Banks?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2140373/
It was about what Disney had to go through to create the movie. The author was anything but cooperative.

Thank you.

Dude, completely forgot about those two!!! Sword and the Stone is definitely another one of my top faves. The part where Merlin is a squirrel and is being physically harassed by that voluptuous lady squirrel :tearsofjoy:

Lol.
Yes disney is kinda antichristian in its message. Their picture feature a lot of occult themes. Even though its meant to be wholesome family entertainment.

Lion king for example. Basically Animated Hamlet, lion exacts revenge.
Aladdin, features a genie. No mention of the real, living God.
Beauty in the Beast...subtly inserts codependency message. If you marry a beast, by your love he will transform into a prince, hes just under an evil spell.

Frozen...witchcraft.
Toy story...idolatry for kids.

No I havent seen it, but i do think disney attempts to disneyfy a story so no wonder they clashed, they will then claim copyright and then the author will not have a say on their characters anymore.

The sound of Music is the best musical ever IMHO.

What happened is almost exactly as you said, but this woman, if she actually was that way was a handful. Very serious, very proper and very unwilling to let Walt, Disneify her book. I never knew it came from a book until that time. I love learning and humanizing larger than life people. I don't try to do it in a negative light but honor them for their accomplishments.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Kevin.

I actually meant a less symbolic way and more of a direct way.

With what Walt Disney did to the copyright laws.

Not only that, but they take old stories in the public domain, stories that have been told for centuries and made them their own by simply drawing a cartoon and putting a face to the story.

Essentially taking something that belongs to humanity..... taking it... copyrighting it and then it no longer belongs to all of us. Mickey Mouse was created in the 20s to a copy right system that gave them 60 years to profit off him before he hit public domain. Then they changed the copyright laws to extend it. Which means that by the 90s Mickey Mouse should have been public domain character...... but they pretty much single handedly set it up so that they decide what IS and is not public domain.

People say walmart is the antichrist and evil, but Disney pretty much has their hand in EVERYTHING from legal to entertainment. Walmart just sells cheap made in China garbage, just like any other store. They just have it all under one roof.

I dunno. God has the capacity to alter anything for the better. I tend to look at Disney movies through the scope of Love. I dig Beauty and the Beast so much because to me, it symbolizes how Love is sacrifice. Here's this horrid, animalistic, man-beast that has completely divorced himself from humanity. By the end of the film, he comes to the ultimate realization that in order to truly love Belle, he not only has to let her go but also has to release the vehement rage that caused his predicament by allowing Gaston to take his life. Love through sacrifice.

Also, I forgot about Land before Time

If we're including Pixar then Wall-E is my vote. I've heard Up was better, but haven't seen it.

Then as follows (in no particular order):

Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast
Frozen
The Lion King
Robin Hood

Its a known fact that much of disney movies are based on. Magic and sorcery. Christians are vilgilant about things like that, especially influence on young minds. So i dont see how its off topic. Its relevant.
