What does your comment, Extraneous, have to do with anything here? Also, bear in mind, personal attacks are off limits here.

Sorry, it was not an attack. It was my wish to express the reality of mans mortality. It seems relevant to the discussion.

I don't gain meaning from hope.

Let us embrace hopelessness then, and rejoice in it. Science seeks answers to life. Black morbid death is the answer. Even now as i speak someone somewhere is dying from cancer or a heart attack. Death is waiting for us all and we never know when his decaying hand will strike us down. Pray to the grave all the earth. Pray to your master.

The OP mentions biting and devouring other lifeforms. As i read it i thought about how man is a savage animal. On the outside he looks like a man but inside his heart he is a beast. God wants our hearts to evolve, and that's why he made us like animals, (IMO) so we could see how we are different from them. We have a spiritual heart, but we act like animals. God wants to give us a new heart, one that's better than this animal heart we now have.

lifeforms have been around for over 200 million years which have continuously lived by biting and devouring other lifeforms.

Your life is meaningless and without hope.

What a wonderful thing to say to someone. Any reason for this attack?

All you have to look forward to is death

Actually I am meeting a friend for lunch and catching the afternoon hockey game. All I have to look forward to is life right now and enjoy it. I think wishing for an after life is a waste of time.

Its a part of life. Just as birth is, so is death. Its ugly i know, but its reality my friend. Should we censor the human experience in the name of science? Surely not, we should embrace it.

Hope is a real thing. There is no reason to despair over death. With all my heart i know that God gave us hope and that we will surely find refuge in it, if we would just trust him.

Hope in Jesus Christ is the most powerful love he can show us. Hope is an experience in his love. Before you is a gift from God himself.

There is no alternative. Surely as the sun will set, we will all die very soon.

Um...yeah...I'm not stupid. Of course we all die. Clearly I was referring to the death worship parody.

Look, this is reality as i see it. I see people rushing around trying to find happiness, and then they die, its as if they never existed. Whats the point? Have you never wondered? Death is the answer. Meditate on it and you will see.

What a myopic view of life. What's the point of life if all you have to look forward to is death?

You're the one who looks forward to death, not atheists.

I look forward to life, not the grave.

1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Word games. Why do you change the meaning of my usage of "life?"

Your response does not answer the question I posed, "what's the point of life [on earth], if all you have to look forward to is death [afterlife]?"
